It was another day, another slow evening
in the city of Miami. Most would expect the city weather to be bright and sunny majority of days, but today the skies were looking grey and bleak. Much like it was mirroring the emotions of the young boy who sat awaiting the storm. Small droplets came down landing untop of his crimson and green hair. He sniffed, from not only from the cold he was catching due to the recent multiple showers but from the pain his heart felt. Warm tears rushed down his pale cheeks and dropped onto his knees, soaking into his pants fabric along with the rain that now began to fall. Yuya was afraid, he wasn't sure what to do now, he decided to stay put as he was told.'Daddy, Where are you?' He asked himself. 'Why'd you leave me?' Did I do something wrong?' These same three questions ran over and over in his little head.
People would pass him by, not a word or either decide to pay any of their attention towards his direction. Others would actually look at him and then be on their way, Unsure if they should help or not.
The boy would watch the cars pass while it rained, its was days like this he'd always see the same ebony limo that would normally drive around these parts at times like this. That limo also held boy that looked his age inside. He always noticed how similar they looked, it was kinda creepy since he was sure he knew he was an only child.
The boy inside the ebony vechile would look out too. This child was, Yuto Akaba. The young heir of the Leo Company.
He saw this other boy many times but never said anything about him. He kind of liked looking at the other boy almost looked like him, to him, it was kind of weird but cute too."Mother," he started softly, a bit hesitant to ask. "Why's that boy always sitting there...?"
"Don't worry about 'things' like that son. He probably ran away from home." she told him not making any eye contact whatsover, seeming to not care the slightest bit.
"But, he looks so unhappy and dirty..." He said softly to himself. Yuto gazed at the pathetic boy. Their eyes meeting for the slightest moment. It was almost as if time slowed down. Crimson meeting grey in a small staring competition which was quickly broken by the limo's speed. Yuto gave a small friendly smile and waved before he saw the boy disappear into the distance.
Strange enough, that made Yuya feel some sort of happiness and hope. It wasn't long after a woman approached the young boy, her black coat loosely on her head, barely sheltering her from the rain.
"Little boy?" The woman, with deep red and orange looking hair called to him, her amethyst eyes showing nothing but concern.
Yuya slowly looked up, his eyes burning from all the crying he had been doing along with the rain falling in there.
"Where are your parents?" She asked.
Yuya's gaze met his lap again. "I don't know. Papa said he's coming back for me..." The woman stared at the boy's attire, all dirty, worn out and damp. The boy himself also looked that way. His stomach growled and she knew from that, that the person who left this child had no plans on returning for him."Well, you can't wait out in the rain for 'him', how about you come home with me. you sound hungry." She said, offering her hand.
"He told me not to move." Yuya mumbled.
Her eyes watered a bit, while rage bubbled. 'Such a pig to leave a defenseless young child out and then tells them not to move' she thought to herself. "Okay, how about this. I'll come back each day and check up to see if he comes back for you. Does that sound okay?"The woman was hoping she could convince the poor boy in coming home with her so she could care for him. Yuya stayed quiet, he thought for a little before nodding.
"What's your name." She asked, while taking the smaller hand in hers.
"Yuya Sakaki." He mumbled.
"Ah, I'm Ray Meadows." She replied.
Dropping the sleeve over Yuya'a head. It wasn't a long walk until she reached their destination. She quickly opened the door and set her soaked coat on the coat rack near the front door. Yuya stood by the door frame, hesitant to enter. With a gesture of her hand she smiled, showing him it was alright. Yuya slowly made his way inside the house, his feet squishing from his wet shoes.
Yuya looked around, Everything was so tidy and clean. The house was a elegant white and black, blood roses all around complimenting the black. It seemed like it would've belonged to someone with a decent amount of money. The scent of the house was different than his home, more like sweet cleaning products than a natural scent, it was new and he liked it. Yuya looked down at the carpet, which he was getting muddy with his soaked shoes.
"I'm sorry..." He mumbled out. "Its alright." She squeezed his small hand. "lets get you changed into something decent."After being bathed, dressed and fed, Yuya sat down on a comfy bed. He already felt at peace, welcomed and loved. He hoped this feeling could last forever.
a few hours later everyone arrived. Ray stood in the kitchen, almost finished with dinner. Since she knew everyone was home she was trying to hurry. Yugo, who had blue hair that pointed into one direction with bangs that resembled a bunch of ripe bananas, walked in after his feet went upstairs and back. His uniform was tidy, looking as if it had just been Washed with his banana shaped knapsack over his back, looked up at his mother.
"why is there someone in my bed?" Yugo asked quietly.
"Oh, That's Yuya. He's going to be here for a bit. Just until we find his parents." Ray replied.
Yugo nodded, deciding to not get too involved. He wasn't sure how he felt about someone sleeping in his bed, it was bad enough when the quadruplets were born.
"Mommy! Mommy! Mommy!" Selena ran downstairs with her soccer ball in hand and her sisters Rin, Ruri and Zuzu tagging along. Not caring if they had knocked over something while rushing and tossing the ball up and down.
"There's a tomato head in Yugo's bed!" Rin giggled.
"You mean his garden~" Zuzu added.
Yugo rolled his eyes at the comment. Zarc who was close by couldn't help to pop his head into the kitchen from hearing this.
"what's this about a tomato." he asked.
Ray looked around and gave him a nervous smile. "Oh Zarc, the husband I love so much and would do anything for if he would do anything for me~" she said quickly in one whole sentence.
Zarc cocked a brow, he knew this meant that Ray did something he knew he had to deal with. He groaned before leaning on the door frame. "What is it?" He asked, his tone soundly a tad annoyed. "You're not...-"
She shook her head, her face growing hot. "No, no, no! I'm not pregnant. But, I think we are going to have another child in this household, I'm not so certain yet. His name is, Yuya Sakaki. I found him on the streets. Can you see if you can find anyone by that last name?"
Zarc sighed with an "Alright." Before heading off to his office. Ray smiled, hoping that things would work out. After a few days of searching, the city and the web. He found a couple by the name of Yusho and Yoko Sakaki and a few others with the same last name and nothing more. It was then he was adopted into the family, none minded since he wasn't much a problem, than just a little more expenses. Even after all these years, though he was happy there, he still held a bit of sorrow in his heart.
His mind often wondering, why him and what did he do to deserve it.
