Dear me,

I wasn't going to document this, but I just came back from the common room and hearing strange things from Crabbe and Goyle reminded me I didn't write it down.

(Like, honestly, something was up with them. They were even slower than usual. Thick heads.)

A week or two ago, Lockhart started a stupid, little "Duelling Club".

I knew it was corrupt as soon as I saw Lockhart was teaching it, but I saw Severus so I thought I'd stay for him.

Lockhart was being a complete fool, and I almost vomited after hearing Daphne Greengrass' worried whines after Severus embarrassed him with a simple disarming charm.

Soon, though, they had partnered us up. Amazingly, I got Potter.

(In an amazing rivalry way, that is.)

He was a hard duel, harder than the silly little fights we've had in the Slytherin dorms, but I'm guessing that's because we hate each other.

Soon, though, we had to split up because of some other groups problems.

But, we then were chosen to present blocking charms in front of the club!

Though... that's when it went a tad down hill.

I had successfully manevoured the Serpensentia spell, and a beautiful, large black snake flew out of the end of my wand, and in front of Potter. His face was priceless, and Severus later on congratulated me, but that was after this happened:

It was super quick. Lockhart, the idiot, had angered my beautiful serpent, instead of letting Severus take care of it. Which resulted in the snake looking to that Mudblood Hufflepuff... Justin, I think it is, and glaring, dangerously. And then... Potter was... was hissing at it, and it took me a while to realise that he's a Parselmouth.

I'm just still bewildered. From what I saw, Potter had steered the snake away from the Mudblood, but everyone else is saying that he egged it on. I'm obviously agreeing with the latter for status reasons, but I just thought...

Anyways, the Hufflepuff was found petrified unconscious the next day, and it is extremely hard to not doubt that Potter hasn't something to do with the Chamber of Secrets.

Nonetheless, I stand by what I said. He's harmless. He probably was just at the wrong place at the wrong time in a wrong situation with a wrong past.

Yes, that makes sense.

Happy Christmas, though.

Honorably,
Draco Malfoy
