Chapter 20- A.C.T

    I yawned when I entered Kazuki’s room. He was calling someone at that time and I guess it might be Ruka cause his voice was so soft and he was smiling, which is rare for him to smile. After a while, he cut off the call and looked at me. I stared back at him.

    “Let’s get to the main point .” he broke the silence and searched for a file in his drawer. Eventually, he took out a black file and put it on the table. The word ‘CONFIDENTIAL CASE’. I frowned.

    Black files. It means that it’s a case that was abandoned and now we’re investigating it back. Either the problems were repeated or something turned up. “I won’t do long mission, Kazuki. You know that .” I sighed.

    He glanced at me and shook. “This is quite important. We need you to make it. Storm and Blizzard is on mission right now. Shadow has a slight problem with his reports and now is repairing it. So you’re the only available ones here .” he answered.

    “Kay fine! What is it this time ?” I asked.

    He opened the file and pushed a paper to me. I looked at it. There’s a picture of a man there. His face was half-burned and he has black hair, above-ear length. Ugly, if I may add.

Name: Tachibana Takami.

Missing when he was being investigated by the police.

    “This Tachibana man was burned alive when he was in high school because of love affairs. He killed 28 womans when he was 32 years old. He’s a pyromaniac .” Kazuki explained.

    “Pyromaniac. A person who’s obsessed with fire .” I murmured.

    “Yes. And that explains why he killed his friend who tried to steal his girlfriend, with fire. He was caught in the fire too. The girl got away and became a mental patient because of the incident. Tachibana killed all 28 womans at the same time, with fire. He’s a dangerous person. He once tried to put this A.C.T’s building on fire because he fell in love with Ruka at first sight and tried to get her. But because of our expert guards, we managed to shove him away but he got away too fast that we couldn’t catch him until now .”

    I nodded, hearing the explanations carefully. Tachibana is a fearful man.

    “We bring this case up once again because Ruka met with him yesterday in front of her apartment. She was frightened but having a knowledge on how to handle perverts so she took him down in a second and he ran away. We are afraid he would harm other people and I wanted you to capture him. Your speed with him is quite the same so I think you’re the best opponent to go against him .” Kazuki continued.

    “I understand .” I said, closing my eyes.

    Sure I want to spend time with Akashi more. But I couldn’t ignore this. This is my job. I have to do this. I opened my eyes.

    “Tonight is already so late. So we might have to start the mission tomorrow. For now, you go back home first .” Kazuki said.

    I nodded and walked out of the room, heading towards my house. Akashi’s house is too far so I won’t take the risks to walk alone at night to his house. He might’ve been sleeping for now.

    Tachibana is a pervert and a pyromaniac. He fell in love with pretty womans easily. His speed is something else. My phone vibrated. Caller ID: Akashi. My heart skipped a beat.

    “Yup ?” I answered the call.

    He didn’t answer. I frowned.

    “Akashi ?” I asked.
