Chapter 28- A.C.T

Akashi looked at me, eyebrow raised when I entered his office without knocking. After the hacking system test, I drove here to his place, where he's working.

"It's been 7 years and you still don't know how to knock? Why are you here ?" he asked. I sat on the sofa provided.

"I know how to knock, it's just that—" I got cut off by a knock on the door.

"Come in ." Akashi spoke.

A beautiful woman, around my age, except that she looked older, entered. She has long, wavy brown hair that reached her waist, hazel eyes and an attractive smile.

"What is it, Mikoto ?"

She handed a grey file to him. "The report is finished ." Akashi nodded and the woman turned around to go out but stopped when she saw me. Her eyes widened and she flinched.

Akashi looked up, glanced at me then looked at the woman called Mikoto. "That's Hisashi Ryuuki ." he introduced me to her.

"Hisa—" she stopped herself.

"Hey! Nice to meet ya !" I waved.

She regained her composure, cleared her throat and faked a smile. "Ah... err... nice to meet you too, I'm Mikoto Sumeragi !" she bowed her head then quickly walked out of the office.

I blinked and turned to Akashi. "Am I scary? Why did she run away ?" I asked.

"You're not scary at all and she's just nervous ."

"Oh ..."

"She's back just like how you predicted ." she breathed hard over the phone.

The man at the other end of the line let out a small laugh. "This is getting exciting, Sumeragi. And as I said, you will be part of this plan. I know you are an amateur in this but trust me, when I tell you what's important, it'll be easy to defeat them ."

"Haahhh... I hope this will turn out as we planned ."

"It will ." and he cut off the call. Mikoto Sumeragi leaned against the wall, still can't get over the fact that she encountered the legendary A.C.T agent, CV01 who defeated and destroyed the whole KuroHana 7 years ago despite the fact that she's still 16 at that time.

I have to keep calm, she thought and got back to work.

"Oh, here ," I handed Akashi a bowl of cabbage. "The fire wai—"

"Hold this ."

"Okay okay !" I took the ladle from his hand and started to stir the ingredients inside. However, I distanced myself from the pot like 1m apart.

"Why are you so afraid of this ?" Akashi asked.

"The small sparkle sparkle thing will like boom on my face and hand and that hurts !"

"It's just a small thing !"

"But to me, if the injury is small, then the pain is greater !"

"You're so weird ," he handed a bowl to me. "Turn off the stove and put it in this ."
