I woke up to the sound of karaoke. Wait... karaoke??? I quickly got up to see where I was. I thought it was a dream, but sure enough I was still in my cousin's awesome apartment!

Wait... it was light outside. When I laid down on the bed for a nap, I must have slept through the night.

Sure enough I read my new pink alarm clock, and it said it was 8:45.

Well I better get dressed, I thought. I didn't want to be rude!

As soon as I was downstairs, I ran to the kitchen. They stopped singing.

Leigh and Maggie were having tea and cake. Without me!

I ran to them and hugged Maggie.

"Wow Ali, your boobs sure have grown since christmas," Maggie teased.

"Wow how embarrassing," I said, blushing.

"Have some cake," screamed Leigh. "It's chocolate, your favorite," she yelled.

"Calm down Leigh, besides you know I'm allergic to the vanilla icing," I said.

"Oh right, I'm sorry," Leigh sighed. Then she ran upstairs to get something.

"Maggie, I really wanted to thank you for taking us into your home. It was just really hard at home, and-"

"Oh you don't need to thank me dear, anytime! But I never knew auntie could be so cruel," she said.

"Yeah, she's turned into a monster," I replied.

"Yes she has...hey I know! We could go shopping today! I need new groceries and I'm sure you and Leigh need some new clothes!

"Oh my gosh! Have you seen our closets upstairs? They're already bursting," I said.

"Well you need new clothes every season! And besides, you two are getting your rooms changed next week. Arabian style, I thought it would be super-cute!"

"New season? So we get new clothes and rooms every week," I asked.

Angela gave me some tea, and I added sugar and stirred it a few moments, pondering the new thought of getting new clothes so soon!

"No, it's every month, but if you want, we could arrange it that-"

"OH NO it's fine! But thank you so much! And i have a question... ummm what about school? Where will we be going to school," I curiously asked.

She told me that we would be going to a private school on upper east side.

"So you are a millionaire because you are the editor for People? That's really cool," I told her.

"Well actually I'm a multimillionaire, and I LOVE my job and my co-workers so much! They are an awesome team to work with," she replied.

"MAGGIE, MAGGIE!!! You said you would give us surprises as soon as Ali woke up," Leigh had screamed, coming down the stairs with a paper in her hand.

Leigh handed the paper to Maggie. Maggie took the paper and read over it and she smiled.

"Aww thank you so much Leigh! And I love you girls too," Maggie said.

I took a look at the paper. It said: Thank you for letting us live with you! We love you!

I smiled at Leigh and hugged her.

"Oh yeah, about the surprises! Here they are,' she handed us a box with holes in it.

There was a soft mewing sound, and we opened the box.

There were kittens!

Leigh and I thanked Maggie, and she said it was fine. Then it was time to go.

We took the elevator down, and there was a garage. It was filled with lots of expensive-looking cars. There was a Ferrari, an R8, and there were hundreds of nice-looking cars. We walked over to a white BMW M5.

"Do you like it?"she asked us.

"Yeah, but I was kind of expecting an expensive Ferrari instead of a cheap BMW," Leigh replied.

"Well I have one, but the Ferrari is for Friday, and I have others for every day of the week," Maggie said.

When we were on the streets waiting in traffic, we listened to music and sang at the top of our lungs.

We finally arrived at a pretty little street with lots of little cute shops.

"I'm gonna go and look in the bio grocery store. You girls can go to the other grocery store," she gave us a list, and with that she was gone.

This was on the list:

• 1/4 pound of plums

• Ginger's ravioli

• fat free milk

• Rice Krispy Treats

• cheerios

• 4 sticks of butter

• 6 eggs

• 4 bananas

• radishes

• 2 pounds of Macadamia nuts

"Ok, let's start. I get the first half, and you get the second half," I told Leigh.

We went off in separate directions as I ripped the sheet in half.

I was over by the fruits looking for plums, as a boy walked up to me.

I thought I recognized him, but I didn't remember where from.

"Hey," he said.

"Hi... and who exactly are you???" I asked him.

"I'm Jayden. Remember me?" he said.

I almost fainted as he said that name. Of course it was him. Jayden. My bully.
