@ShawnMendes: i texted Hailey this morning to ask if it was okay to explain to the fans what really, honestly happened. i didn't get a response, so i'm going to take that as a yes. this is going to be a long caption. i'm not only doing this for you guys to understand why Hailey and i broke up, but so that Hailey wouldn't have to go through talking about it. my top priority in our relationship is (or was..) to constantly keep Hailey happy. this picture was taken two days before we broke up, and we were both satisfied with how things were going, completely infatuated with each other. the next day (after this was taken) Hailey texted me and asked where i was. i told her i was at my house getting ready to pick her up (which was true). so she texted back "no, nevermind. don't come." and i obviously was concerned for her safety and asked why, what's wrong. she responded "nothing. just don't come." still worried, i started driving to Cameron's anyway. i couldn't take the suspense and i wanted Hailey to be okay. on my way to their house, i called her. we had a conversation about what was going on and she said she needed time to think. i told her she could talk to me about anything, and that i will always be here for her. she continued to say she needed time and space, so i said "bye, i love you." and she hung up. i knew something was wrong. i turned my car around and went back home because i had to respect Hailey's privacy. i was also still worried, so i texted Corinne asking what was up with Hailey. she just said "she'll be okay. she's really upset right now." but nobody was telling me why. i texted Sasha and Ryan but got no details from them either. i waited it out, and the next day i got a paragraph from Hailey saying that she's breaking up with me and explaining why. i'll post the screenshots in a second, with more explanation. if whatever everyone claims happened, actually happened,, i'm sorry. ❤️5,628,849 likes 💬0 comments 👤@Hailssbabyy was tagged.
