chapter eight

Jack's POV

When we got back to the house we decided to watch 'Wonder Woman' while we ate. Kat had already manged to eat all of her tacos and was working on her last loaded potato griller. 'Damn my kitten can eat' I thought while silently chuckling. Half way through the movie we heard a phone go off. Kat looked at her phone and became tense.

"I gotta go" she said with no emotion while getting up and walking out the front door. We all looked at each other worried but the look on Zack's and Daniel's face said that they knew where she was going. Pausing the movie I looked at the two of them. "Where is she going?" I asked. "We don't know" replied Daniel in a nervous tone. "Oh look at the time" then both him and Zack ran out the room. I was beyond confused 'What are they hiding?'

Later that night everyone had gone to bed except for me. I was waiting for Kat to come back seeing as its almost 12 a.m. and she left at 7:00. I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't even notice Kat come in until I felt the couch sink down beside me. "Where have you been kitten? I was getting worried" I said while turning and looking at her. After a minute she finally talked. "Why aren't you in bed like everyone else?" "I was worried abou- wait don't change the subject answer the damn question," I snapped at her. "I had some business I had to take care of." "For 5 fucking hours?!" I was getting irritated. Instead of replying she got up and walked away. I decided to go to bed and cool off. There was one thing running through my mind before i fell asleep.

'What are they hiding?'

Katana's POV

I wanted to tell him where I went but it's dangerous. I know I'm going to have to tell him eventually but I'm scared he will leave me. I was happy that it was dark in the living room so that he couldn't see the bruise on my cheek. I left for a street fight and the only people who know I street fight are Seraph and of course Zack and Daniel. They also know what I am and they accept me for it thankfully. I should probably tell Jack, Corbyn and Jonah everything tomorrow. For now I'm going to go out into the garage and upgrade one of my new cars.

The next morning I walked out of the garage and into the kitchen. I had the hood up on my hoodie so that no one could get a glimpse of my cheek, but of course someone pulled it down while I was reaching to get the pancake mix. They turned me around to face them but I faced the other way knowing that it was Jack. "Look at me kitten." he said sounding serious but i still faced the other way. Obviously annoyed that I wouldn't look at me he grabbed my head and turned it so that I was facing him. When he looked at my face he gasped, his eyes showing worry but it was automatically face with anger.

"Kitten tell me who the hell did that" he demanded. I looked at Zack and Daniel silently asking if i should tell them. As if they knew they looked at me and nodded their heads giving me a reassuring smile. With a sigh I finally answered him "A opponent of mine from last night." He looked at me confused. "What opponent, what are you talking about?" I decided that he should know everything about me even if that means my mate ends up hating me afterwards.
