I heard light cries from Julia’s room. She must’ve have woken up. I stretched a bit to release the tired in me and went to go check on her. Oscar had still been asleep. When I entered Julia’s room I found her rubbing her eye with one hand, and holding her stuffed teddy bear with the other. When she saw me she reached for me to pick her up.

“Come here sweetie, it’s okay mommy is….” I paused. I realized I wasn’t her mom and disregarded the remark. Ever since Oscar left Ludy, Julia had been more used to me than with her own mother. She’d play with me, cuddle with me when Oscar was at training, and she’d call me mommy here and there. I felt bad that Ludy had been left. But Oscar. He was just so damn fine; he loved me more than anything. I wanted him more than she ever will.

“I see you two are early birds.” Oscar yawned waking into the room.

“Actually I was woken up by the early bird.” I laughed carrying Julia.

Oscar took Julia from me and gave her a kiss. He placed her on the bed, and dragged me out of the room.

“Kayleigh, what do you say if we go out……. And have a picnic?” He whispered kissing my neck.

“That sounds nice.” I shivered, his kisses were sweet and gave me chills. The kind I would get when we “played” in bed.

“Since it takes work to pack a picnic, why don’t you go give Julia a bath and I’ll prepare the basket?” I smiled.

“Alright meu Amor.” He kissed me on the lips.

I headed downstairs to start packing. I decided to pack Julia’s favorites. She loved her mom’s coxinhas. So I made sure to have that for lunch. I also packed a fruit salad, some french whine, for Oscar and me of course; along with some berry smoothies for Julia. Now I was all set and ready to go upstairs to get ready.

As I was about to go upstairs i saw Oscar coming into the kitchen. He had this astonished look on his face. I noticed he was holding Julia’s hand.

“ You look so beautiful.” He smiled.

“Oscar if your trying to tell me to go get ready, I am.” I laughed.

“No.” He whispered. He picked up Julia and placed her on her high chair. Then he slowly walked over to me.

“Leaving Ludy was the best thing I had ever done.” He whispered kissing my neck.

“Arriving to Kayleigh, was the next best thing I had done.” He cupped my face.

“Oscar not in front of Julia.” I blushed releasing his hands From my face.

“I’m glad you left her though.” I whispered into his ear and headed upstairs. He smiled and blushed as well.
