Ellie's POV

I walked into foodtech alone, god I hate this lesson, I think theres about 3 people who I like, all of them are boys, then theres Alfie, who I'm not sure if I love or hate him. I frowned at the thought, how confusing can one person be.

"Bad day?" I heard an annoyingly familiar voice ask behind me.

"What's it to you?" I said, spinning round to face Alfie.

"Just trying to be nice, no need to bit my head off about it." He said, he actually sounded kind of annoyed.

"Sorry..." I mumbled, "I'm just not used to you being nice to me Jones."

"Well in that case, its okay. So what got under your skin today?" He asked.

"Basically, Kim woke me up at five with her awful singing." I said.

He laughed a little, "Why was she awake at that time?"

"She wanted to curl her hair or something." I said walking over to an empty desk, Alfie just sat next to me.

"Do you mind if I sit here? Charlies been annoying me lately, and Joe and Taylor are just as bad." He asked.

"At least you asked this time, but yeah sure, it will be better than sitting alone behind you and the boys and just listening into your conversation." I said, as soon as I said it I covered my mouth.

Alfie started laughing. "You do that?" He asked.

"Well this lessons so boring." I complained.

"So you stalk me, okay Els." He laughed.

"I don't stalk you I just listen to your conversations." I said, trying to hide the fact that I loved him calling me Els.

"Alright, year eights settle down, we have a very busy lesson today." Our teacher miss Johnson said.

"Settle down year eights, don't worry that I look like a walrus." Noah whispered in my ear. I tried to hide a laugh.

"Miss Black. Would you care to share with the whole class your little joke." Miss Johnson said.

I blushed a deep shade of red, "Err..." I felt Alfie shaking of laughter beside me.

"Or Mr Jones, maybe you would like to tell us." She said sternly. That shut him up.

"Err... Sorry miss, but I wouldn't know, Its just, I was laughing because she got caught." he said shooting her his signature smile. Note to self, kill him later.

"Oh okay, then Miss Black what have you got to say for yourself." If looks could kill.

"Look miss, honestly I'm so sorry, I don't know what got into me, I just started laughing at... at... myself" Really. Was that the best I could do. Myself. "It won't happen again,I'm sorry." I finished.

The lesson dragged on and after what seemed like a lifetime it was finished, I stormed out. But of course me being me, I wasnt fast enough and Alfie still managed to catch up with me. Great. Just great.

"Laughing at yourself ay? I think you need to get some help, that's not normal." he smirked.

"Shut up Jones, why would you do that to me." I spat at him.

"Calm down,it was funny." he chuckled.

"Not for me. I'm going to be known as the girl who laughs at herself for the rest of my life." I growled.

"I'm sure that's not true, half the people at this school probably don't even know your a girl." that earned him a slap on the arm. Unfortunately I'm not very strong and it probably tickled him more than hurt him.
