"Big brother!" Was the first thing I heard upon waking up.
The first thing I saw was my sister Komaru's face- for once it was serious. I didn't even have time to groan before she started speaking again.

"It's your first day, I wanted to wake you up an hour or so early so you could make absolutely sure you're ready! Plus... I kinda maybe tripped Yuta on our morning run... Ah! It wasn't on purpose I swear! I'm sorry!!" She rambled on, moving back so I could sit up.

She knew how to bandage someone, so her best friend -Yuta Asahina- must have actually gotten hurt. Or she just wanted to show of the fact that starting today- her brother was the Ultimate Nurse! Yuta had a sister that was going to Hopes Peak Academy with me apparently.
I had never met her in person- but from what I had heard... She seemed pretty like her brother...

Komaru started running off- so I had to hop out of my bed and slide into my slippers before chasing after her.
Yuta was on our coffee table, reading a manga of some sort- my first aid kit was sitting next to him. (at this point- I didn't want to know how Komaru had gotten my kit this time.

Yuta had a large, bleeding gash on his right let- surprising me into yelping," Ah! Asahina- how did this happen?!"
The dark skinned boy looked up from his story and gave me a sheepish wave and a large grin.
Yuta and I knew each other fairly well- however we weren't yet close enough to address one another by out first names.

"Oh- Ko and I were doing her daily run thing and... I kinda tripped on some glass..." the awkward grin didn't leave Yuta's face as he spoke," Um... Sorry Naegi!"
He scratched the back of his neck softly.

Then I, Makoto Naegi, the Ultimate Nurse, got to work on fixing up Yuta's obviously painful glass wound.
He really needed to start paying attention during my sisters runs. It wasn't as though she made him do them- that was his own choice.

Evidently mom and dad weren't home, if they were- they would have heard Yuta's groans and whimpers while I was cleaning his gash up.
I kinda felt sorry for him honestly.

Though Komaru grinned after I finished up and said," mom and dad made you a big breakfast 'cuz they felt bad about not being able to see you off to your first day! You should eat up and change while I run Yuta home! I'll see you off- don't you worry!..."

Yuta muttered something like "I can't run-" before they were off. Komaru was sure serious about eventually becoming the 'Ultimate Track and Field Star."
Her odds were pretty good too.

After a moment, I got up from my place on the living room floor. I then walked into the kitchen- or the dining room rather.
On the table was lots of breakfast foods and a note. How long did it take to do all of this?!

I then turned my attention to the note- it read:
Your sister must have woken you up if you're reading this- sorry we weren't there to do so! But as your parents we had to congratulate you somehow! So we woke up bright and early to fix you some food fit for an Ultimate.
Eat up and don't forget your socks! We're routing for you our little nurse!
-Mom and Dad

I grinned faintly and soon started eating, as I was about half way done with my meal however- there was a knock on the door.
So I got up to check- obviously. It wasn't Komaru, as she would simply barge in with a "Hey!" and that would be that.
As I looked through the peephole I saw one of Ko's close friends.
Aquarius Taiyo-Kibo-chan.
(He was very feminine and Cutesy- hence the honorific.)
Though he looked out of breath and distressed.

Wait..  Please don't tell me- I opened the door and instantly said," they left you behind again... Didn't they? Ugh, I get that they're both forgetful- but forgetting one of your best friend's asthma is a new level of... Ahh..."

Taiyo-Kibo-chan just gave a soft nod in response, agreeing to all my statements. He wasn't really much of a talker- as he had general social anxiety.

"Taiyo-Kibo-chan... Come inside and eat with me- please. My parents made me way to much food to eat by myself for a final congrats," I spoke softer now- this seemed to calm my younger friend down slightly.

He seemed to understand what I meant by that all. Though I guess that makes sense... Taiyo-Kibo-chan had mentioned a friend of his -a Mukuro Ikusaba?- and her sister were going to Hopes Peak with me this year as well. Small world, huh?

Looking up at me- because he's shorter, thank goodness- he smiled faintly and stuttered put," th-thank you Naegi-San..."
I simply nodded in response before sitting down to eat once more.

This time though- I started chatting about passions with Taiyo-Kibo-chan. He really knew a lot about the stars- how fascinating!
I feel like I grew a little closer to him while we ate.

Though he soon had to leave as I had to change.
I went into my room after saying my goodbyes and took out the outfit I had set aside for today. It was simple- but it showed off my talent well and I thought it was cute.

The outfit consisted of my apron -Because I'm the Ultimate Nurse- a simple short sleeved mint green polo, some nice black jeans, and my red sneakers; oh... And some white socks- I didn't forget my socks.

I then checked and rechecked my luggage- especially my clothing bag, as it held my favorite jacket.
I knew that there was a uniform- but accessories never hurt.

If I was the Ultimate Model they wouldn't second guess whatever I was wearing! Why should me being the Ultimate Nurse be any different in that way?

Finally- I started re-bandaging my own arms.
I... Was honestly really clumsy when it came to myself- it didn't help that I bruised really easily.
Just as I was finishing up with my arms- Komaru barged into my room.

I let out a yell,' Sis! Ah... I could have been naked!"

"But you weren't!" She replied," it's almost time for you to go! You don't want to be late, 'cuz you're meant to be living at that special school of yours!... I should walk you to the gate's of the building, today's an important day for you Makoto. I don't want you to miss it."

And with that- we both grabbed some of my bags and walked outside, to be hit with a cool spring breeze. I took a shaky and nervous breath and Komaru turned to me- making sure I was alright. And with that- we were off.
We were heading to my entire future- safe to say I was anxious. Then... We saw it.

There was Hopes Peak Academy, standing proudly above most of the cityscape. It was breath taking honestly. Before we got any closer- I pulled Komaru into a tight hug- one she quickly returned.

This was it...
