4- The Dorm

I heard the bell ring and I quickly headed off. Today was essentially a free day. Actually- most of the next two weeks was that way. I was planning on checking my dorm.

Part of me knew it wasn't as easy as that. I would also have to meet My room mate, and set up my room. Not to mention hopelessly wandering about the halls for like... Hours. This was... Really gonna be something... Wasn't it?

Okay! Back on track Naegi!

After quite some time, I finally made my way to my dorm room. It was nice as far as small rooms went. I seemed to be the first one here, as the two beds in the room were both empty and the floor was barren. So I chose the bed on the left side and sat my heckle of bags on and around it.

I decided to hang around for a while, waiting for my roommate to arrive. It was better to just get that over with; as apposed to leaving and randomly finding another guy in my dorm room.

After about half an hour passed- filled with me unpacking and putting my things up- before the door handle started to open. I was slightly caught off guard, as I was currently working on tacking a poster Yuta had made for me up. This resulted in me falling onto the ground while my supposed roommate yelled out. After forcing myself out of a winded daze, I stood with an anxious chuckle.

"I guess you're my roommate then! Heya', the name's Leon Kuwatta! They call me the Ultimate Cook, nice ta' meetcha!" A redheaded male said, bursting with fiery enthusiasm.

I had just stood up, and I was a bit confused still, though I still managed to say," Oh... My name is Makoto Naegi... I'm the Ultimate Nurse... It's nice to meet you too Kuwatta-Kun."

Really hoping I didn't come off as some skittish weirdo I shook the hand that He had outstretched. Good news, I had managed to successfully tack up the poster Yuta had made before Kuwatta-Kun had walked in. As I was way to awkward for my own good, I stayed standing and looking down for a few moments. I figured Kuwatta-Kun had grown bored of me. It was kinds obvious when he let out a laugh and started unpacking his things on the other side of the room.

Letting out a deep breath, I sat down on my bed.  I wasn't exactly socially anxious- not really. It's just that I really suck at talking to people sometimes. Which isn't great for my... Ya'know... Job. Ultimate talent. I dug around in one of my smaller bags, thankfully finding my phone soon enough. There was no one I could call, but it was enough just knowing that there was some familiarity here.

The day seemed to last for an eternity after that. The bells rang at normal intervals so we could get a feel for the timing here. It was about one in the afternoon when a bell that had to be the lunch bell rang. Kuwatta had long since left so I let out an 'aha!' as I realized.

I hadn't eaten anything since breakfast... Which I had early. Oh joy, I was starving without realizing it. So praying I knew where it was, I left my dorm- cautiously navigating the busy halls. Until I tripped over my own shoelaces that is. Ahem again. I mean- what? I've never done that before!

"I-I- I'm so s-sorry!... I-I wasn't watching where I was going and-" I sputtered, looking up... Only to see the semi-familiar angry looking blonde.

"Oh..." The boy said, his crystal blue eyes hardening," it's you. What are you doing just staying there? Stand up commoner."

Togami-San. Oh. I didn't want to be yelled out, so I silently obeyed- standing after a moment or so. Togami-San tsked and muttered something along the lines of "pathetic." He didn't like me much at all... Did he?

He held his head up properly and said," come on then commoner. I have made arrangements with both Kuzuryu-Kun and Sonia-San to meet in the dining hall. I wasn't planning on asking you to come along, but as you're here; you may come."

I just flushed with embarrassment. How did this always happen to me? I scratched my chin in deep thought for a moment before simply nodding and humming a yes. A smirk formed on Togami-San's lips as he started walking off, head held high. I of course just stumbled awkwardly behind him, eyes darting about the halls.

Almost every face in these halls were unknown to me. Not that the faces I knew were ones I knew well honestly.

Soon enough though, we got to the cafeteria... Or dining hall depending. People were talking to groups of others and upperclassmen lazed around without any food. I was never going to get the hang of this place! Hopefully I wouldn't get to lost in all of this insanity. Hopefully.

I had gotten sidetracked from Togami-San due to my thoughts. He cleared his throat to get my attention and when he did I faltered and apologised extensively. The other male merely rolled his eyes and pointed twords the other blondes in the crowd. I... Admittedly only saw Sonia-Chan at first. My sight of Kuzuryu-Kun was -er- delayed.

"Don't just stand there you urchin. Either figure out how to feed yourself or go find the others in our pitiful little group. It's really not that difficult," scowled Togami-San.

"Okay okay!" I cried out, hurrying to what I could only assume was the lunch line... Here we go.

Long... Long... Excruciatingly long story short: I got my food and almost tripped over the 'Ultimate Hope.' Whom I then apologised profusely to. When actually getting my food I had to get money to pay for it... That I left in my dorm. I had to go get that then pay for my food.

When I was done with that madness I went over and found Sonia-Chan and Kuzuryu-Kun. Then I got lost like twice. Togami-San glared at me when it happened and the other two were almost done with their meals. I spent the rest of the time hastily eating and talking about the project.

After all of that... I went back to my dorm. It was early- sure. It was also a free-day, and I was exhausted. Leon wasn't there so I laid in my bed and sighed, too lazy to change. Then I fell asleep.

What a hectic end to an even more hectic day. I could only imagine what tomorrow would bring.

Well... That answer would be answered soon I guess.

Yes, so I finally got around to working more on this story!
This chapter was a ride, mostly because I started writing it literally RIGHT after I finished chapter three. And then I lost motivation to write it for a month. Also I just got and played through DRV3 so...

Anyways, a related question: do you want me to maybe add the V3 characters in the future? Or is my Saiibo fanfic where they all should stay?

Thanks from a loser and a meme
