VICTORIA'S POV

I groggily open my eyes and groan at the bright light hitting my face.

"Turn the lamp off!" I shout as I turn to my other side and cover my face with my blanket.

"No! You need to get out of bed, Vic." Izzy fights back. "You haven't left the room in almost a week."

I sigh knowing she's right but still don't move a muscle. It's currently Thursday and I've spent exactly 5 days doing nothing except eating, showering, and sleeping. Mostly moping, though. I told Izzy everything the morning after and she had a pretty similar reaction to Amara except she was much angrier. Of course, her hatred towards Kat only grew. Throughout these 5 days I truly thought nothing could be worse; i was wrong. Day 4, rumors started spreading that Jackson and Kat were officially together and turns out it's true. Thinking about it for too long just makes every terrible emotion I've felt rush in all at once, and since I haven't stopped thinking about it, the heartache is indescribable.

"That's because I don't want to leave the room." I complain.

"I didn't really want to leave the room either the day after I realized what I did at the party. But we gotta face our shit somehow," She states and and sits on the edge of the bed. "It's about to be 8 and you've been sleeping and crying all day. I'm tired of seeing my best friend like this."

I sigh and turn around to face her. "Your best friend's boyfriend cheated on her with her other best friend 2 weeks before their 2 year anniversary. She has the right to sleep and cry all day." I counter in third person.

"I know, Vic. It sucks. Believe me if there was anything I could do to change any of it I would do it in a heartbeat." She says and goes back to her own bed.

I sit up and rub my burning eyes. I can't imagine how puffy they must be by now. Suddenly, Amara comes through the door with three milkshakes at hand.

"Got your favorite, Vic! Neapolitan from In n Out!" She chimes and hands both Izzy and I a milkshake. Amara's been at this all week. Her, Izzy, and I have been spending each day together and she leaves and comes back with snacks. Not complaining at all, though. It most definitely helps, I guess. I thank her and lean back on my bed frame beginning to drink the shake.

"So, plans for tomorrow?" Amara asks turning to Izzy then to me.

"Um, I'm good." I answer and she frowns, clearly hoping but not expecting to receive a different answer.

"Vic, think about this," Izzy speaks up. "You're angry, right?" She asks and I slowly nod.

"Well, then take your anger out. Go out, have a good time, and show that dickhead you're not going to spend the rest of your summer locked in your dorm room being depressed." Izzy states making it sound more like a demand.

"I second that." Amara agrees and they both turn to me. I'm hesitant at first but then the anger starts to slowly consume me more than the sadness.

"I'll, uh, think about it." I reply then go back to sipping my milkshake.

"Good enough." Izzy sighs then picks up the controller from the nightstand. She turns the TV on and starts flipping through the channels.

"They dominated the music industry, and of course, our hearts." Rita Ora's voice speaks up. I groan and Izzy quickly changes the channel but Amara cuts in.

"Wait, put it back!" She exclaims and Izzy refuses to.

"Yeah no please don't." I agree remembering how Jackson and I playfully argued regarding the show the night before the party.
