*REWIND*

CHANCE'S POV

I walk into the bar and grill with a very excited Jon and Andrew.

"Bro, I still can't process the fact that we're actually about to watch ourselves on TV!" Andrew exclaims with a huge grin.

"Same. Although, this would be a lot more exciting for me if I wasn't eliminated this episode." Jon sighs and Andrew pats him on the back.

"Yeah, this episode isn't exactly my favorite either." I add remembering how I had broken down at rehearsals. I've gotta say it's definitely going to be pretty awkward watching that surrounded by all these people.

"Right, this is that episode." Andrew points out with emphasis.

"Yup. Not really looking forward to that part." I grouse and recall how emotionally draining that day was for me.

"Well, let's not focus on the negatives right now and live in the moment. We're here to have a good time which is exactly what we're gonna do!" Jon lightens the mood and points over to the open bar. Pretty useless since we can't even drink.

"Couldn't have said it better myself, bud!" Andrew agrees and begins to walk over.

"You coming, Chance?" Jon asks while snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Oh, yeah."

We walk over to the bar where Jon and Andrew begin to have an oddly deep conversation about underage drinking with the waitress. Yeah, not really interested. Nothing remotely interesting seems to be coming until the show actually starts so I take this time to go ahead and check on Brooklyn. She's currently at home with my mom, Emma, and Emma's mom so even though I know she's in extremely good hands, I still want to check up like a good father should. Before I get a chance to send my usual text, I'm approached by a girl who comes to stand next to me. For a second I think she's going to ask me for a picture or something but she actually starts a conversation with the bartender instead.

"Hey, excuse me!" She calls him over and he quickly rushes over to her.

"How may I help you?"

"I just had a quick question. Do you have any idea why the place is so crowded tonight? It's not normal for it to be like this on a Thursday," She asks. Well, I'm starting to think she really isn't planning on asking me for a picture.

"There's a watch party tonight for this show called Boy Band at 8. I'm pretty sure that's why most people are here," He explains and I raise my brow at the mention of Boy Band. It's pretty funny how they're both talking about the show with me standing right here. Ironic, really.

"Boy Band?" She asks. Yeah, clearly not a fan.

"Yup. I haven't watched the first episode yet but from what I know it's basically a show trying to form the next big boy band. Pretty dope." He says.

"Oh, cool. I've never heard of it." She states and I stifle a laugh. I don't think I'm doing a very good job at hiding my eavesdropping.

"Well in about," He looks down at his watch. "Half an hour you will."

"Can't wait," The light haired girl chuckles. "Anyways, can I get three sprites please?" She orders politely. I'm not even sure why I'm still trying to listen in but I can't bring myself to stop.

The young man retrieves the three cans of Sprite from the cooler and slides them over the counter. "On the house for tonight." He winks. Wow, he's clearly not trying to hide his blatant interest in the girl.

She attempts to pick up the three cans and evidently struggles a bit. I'd offer to help but that would seem sorta weird.

"Hey Chris! Can I get two more of those please?" She shouts and he immediately slides over two more.
