Stare into the darkness, what can there be?
A shape, fuzzy and distorted, hard to see.
Stare into the abyss, what is inside?
Something vibrant and pulsing, but has to hide.
Look into the pit, can you tell?
Is it good or evil, from heaven or hell?
If you look close at the shape you should see,
The shape is you, it is what you are meant to be.
It’s distorted because the future isn’t set,
But that is yours as for what you get.
Go through the darkness with the light inside,
And shine it on your future so it cannot hide.
Now here is where you make your start,
Walk on with the strength of your heart.
For as you go it will keep you strong
Even when the road is circuitous and long
So I wish to all, for all of you,
That you do the best you can do.
