My finger tips are stroking the keypad of a lonely cellphone like they would if it was your hand instead. My heart, my brain, are both begging me to type an, "I'm sorry" but I can't. They wont move. My fingers are frozen over each letter, but they still keep moving. Just a tiny push, that's all they need. It's not going to happen tonight, darling.

If there was one thing Johnny was, it was sorry. Sorry he became desperate, sorry he became clingy and dependent, sorry he ever let Dallas Winston ruin his life. Of course, Dally didn't really know what he was doing when he did it. It was something that came naturally to him; he was an entertainer. He liked seeing the smile on someone's lips when he treated them just right, but most of all, he loved watching it fall.

"Nothing stays the same forever."  Dallas would whisper to Johnny as if that justified his actions. Really, there was no need for justification because Dally wasn't and never would be his, even when they both ached for it.

Johnny knew what he was getting himself into before Dally even pressed the first kiss to his lips. He knew what they were doing before he let himself stroke Dally's chest and listen to his heartbeat. Dallas Winston was going to ruin poor Johnny Cade and Johnny would let him. That's how these things went. After all, who could say no to Dally? Who in their right mind would say yes, though?
