Before Zakar could see her, Zia pulled Jarold back around the corner and hid behind him. A bewildered Jarold was too shocked to speak. He had known Zakar for as long as Zia, and he knew this had to be a misunderstanding. Jarold was about to confront Zakar when Zia pulled him back and shook her head with a solemn "no". She didn't want to facet the situation at hand, she wanted to forget about all that she had seen, or give Zakar the benefit of the doubt. That was Zia over caring, and forgives in a less than a heartbeat.  From around the corner the conversation of Zakar and the girl could be heard "ZAK, can't you stay! I have this consultation and I really would love it if you were here, honey!" pleaded the girl, her blue orbs looking up at Zakar begging him to stay.

" I can't I have work, and it's just a check-up everything will be fine," he comforted her, but looking into her eyes he caved and said "sure, let me just make a call." Zakar got out his phone and started to dial a number, and soon Zia's phone was buzzing in her pocket. When she pulled it out, it was Zakar's name written with a kissy face emoji that Sameer had put a while back. Zia walked down the hall into her office and answered the phone. "Hello!" She tried her best to cover the pain behind her voice. Jarold was standing at the door, curious and wanting to be moral support. "ZIA! Honey, hi! So happy you picked up, I was calling to say my flight has been delayed and I won't make in time for dinner." Zakar swiftly lies.

"Okay, that's fine, see you when you get here, have a safe flight!" she quietly replies. Jarold looks over at her furious; I mean how can be so kind with him when he's cheating on her? Jarold was ready to beat Zakar, Zia was like his little sister, they've been friends since the first day of med school. Zia hangs up the phone, halfheartedly. She looks at Jarold and quietly says "just go with it, please." And so Jarold just goes with it, again.

The girl's consultation was with an OBGYN in the clinic, Dr. Layla, Layla was one of Zia's oldest and closest friend.  Jarold ran to Layla's office and begged her to follow the same instructions "just go with it", though it was trickier to explain to Layla than Jarold, but eventually for the sake of her friend she did. The girl, Jasmine, was getting a regular check-up which meant no men in the room, so Zakar was waiting outside impatiently. He was boiling with fury, first Jaz makes him stay here, second he can't go in, and third the doctor shut the door in his face. He was going to make sure to shut this clinic down, how much could this thing cost? That's when he saw Jarold walking across the hallway with a patient. What was Jarold doing here? He worked with Zia at the hospital. Maybe he had a consultation, no reason to worry it's not like he saw him anyway. After waiting outside for thirty agonizing minutes, another docto came rushing by, her face was buried in files so he couldn't see her, but she smelt familiar. The unknown doctor knocked on the door and waited patiently when the door opened and Jaz floated out, followed by Layla. Layla and Jaz talked for a few moments, Jaz introduced Zakar to her, "Oh Doc, this is my boyfriend Zak, I was telling you about him right? Well here he is!". Zakar knew at this moment all hell would break loose, if he knew Layla she would start questioning, and insulting him, and then call Zia. Oh shit, if Zia found out everything would be ruined, everything. But Layla did not of that, she bowed her head respectfully and said "Hello", then she looked at the collegue expectantly. That's when Zakar noticed her, and so did Jaz. The doctor softly smiled at Jaz then to Zakar. Their eyes met, and Zakar's rounded with shock and fear, but Zia's were soft and kind like always she nodded to both of them, then she handed the file to Layla and walked away. Not a word said. Not. A. Single. Word.
