Zia's POV
My face feels raw, the unforgiving wind continues to whip my face, my legs are begging for me to stop, but everything in me tells me to keep on pushing, just run. It's been four days since the consulataition, and Zak hasn't come home yet, nor has he called. It's been four days since my whole world turned upside down, my attempts to push it out of my mind have been extremely successful until now. Now everythings coming back at me: the emotions, the frustration, but most of all the shock. That day seemed like everything was planned perfectly, and I guess it was.My running has ceased, and I'm at the lake by our house, it's gorgeous secluded from everybody, and quite a feat to get to, so not many people know about it let alone know about it. There's this boulder there that hangs right in to the water, so you can dip your feet in and just relax. When I first married Zak, I took off from work to take care of everyone and when I was alone, I'd sneak down here, it's my little get away. Naina's the only other person who knows about this place;I used to drag her down here to get away from the world. I sit on the boulder, letting my muscles relax. I let out a deep sigh, lay down, and let all the memories come rushing back to me.
"Here are the files," I hand Laila the my red file quietly, and attempt to just walk away from the whole situation. I had told everyone to just go with it in hope that Zak would have a proper explanantion, but there wasn't a single explanation. His only reaction was a gasp, and a confused look from his girlfriend. "Zia," pleaded Zak, his eyes pleaded for me not to have a emotional break down, and not ruin his thing with Jasmine, my step-sister. Oh yeah, Zak's girlfriend, my step-sister, like could this get any better.
"You're so sarcastic," Naina giggles, I jump in startlement, how long has she been here? "You know you were talking aloud the whole time?" She smiles at me. "Do you always do that, narrate your life outloud or are you going crazy?"
"Hmm, now that's a secret you'll have to figure out all by yourself." I had to tell Naina, especially when I broke down two days ago in the middle of doing laundry. I was doing the whites when I suddenly remembered that I might not being doing this soon if Zak and I can't sort it out, and then I broke down. Poor Sam got really scared, and called Naina. Naina patiently listened to me, and at the end came to the conclusion that in the case of anything she chooses me, and little Sameer unknown to the whole situation climbs into my lap and whole heartedly agrees. And from then I've had this resolve, no matter what these two come first.
"Bhabi, you need to come Zak Bhai is home, and so is Bilal Bhai, and Jasmine" Naina informs me. Of all the names, Bilal's suprises me the most, but I guess he deserves to be here too. "Oh and Sameer is dying from hunger and refuses to eat anything unless you feed him, so if you'd please?" I nod in response, pull my feet out of the water, slip on my running shoes, and slide down the boulder to meet Naina. We begin to make the treck back to the house, and are halfway there when I get nervous, and fight the urge to run back to my oasis. Naina notices this and challenges me to a race, she clearly knows my competitive behaviour. So we race, even running back at full speed it took a half hour to get back there on time. I walk through the backyard, through the patio and backdoor into the kitchen only to encounter Bilal attempting to coax Sameer to eat anything. Seeing the picture is hilarious, Bilal's a very well built, domainant, manly man kinda guy, so seing him loosing an argument to a four year old is extremely entertaining. I guess I let out a laugh because in a split second both boys are looking at me, Bilal imploring me to help, and Sameer is just plain excited to see me. I move to wash my hands, and take the plastic spoon from Bilal. But first Bilal engulfs me in a huge bear hug and whispers "I missed you". I just mumble in response, we're like that for a solid minute until sound of cup dropping breaks us apart. We both turn to the source of the noise only for my eyes to land on Zak's. They're hard, and cold almost judgemental. Sameer, who is still very much hungry, begins a temper tantrum and starts yanking my arm demanding he gets my full attention, he's really not used to this whole sharing thing.
I begin to quite him down and feed him some mac and cheese. Bilal just stands there awkwardly unsure what to do, and Zak watches me like a hawk, every movement I make I can feel his eyes calculating deciding. And at some point in all this Jasmine has walked in and planted herself right on Zak's arm which earns her Naina's death glare. And in the whole 5 minutes it takes me to feed the Sameer no one moves. I quickly finish feeding Sameer, and set him free upstairs to play quietly. And the minute Sameer's out of earshot, Zak slaps me across the face.
HI! Okay, I know you guys are all like wtf Alll! But more importantly wondering where this story is going, and I have no real ideas I know there are certain things i want to happen but other then that really its up to fate!! And don't hate on Zak he's actually a good guyish, I promise! And no Bilal and Zia are not in some haram relationship, I'll clear that up too! Oh and be ready because next chapter, there's going to be alot of new characters, with lots of relationships!!!
