Ruby : emm...hey sapphire can I ask you something?

Sapphire : yea sure

Ruby : the Christmas ball is near and I was wondering if anyone has asked you to go with them yet

Sapphire: no nobody has asked why is that ruby

Ruby : I was well.......WILL YOU GO WITH ME?

Sapphire: well...I never go to the Christmas ball...?

Ruby : oh....n-never mind...

Sapphire : but this year I'll go with you happy

Ruby : yey ahem...... I mean yea great let's go together

The day of the ball

Ruby: PERIDOT!! WHAT DO I DO I INVITED HER TO THE BALL AND NOW I'M NERVOUS!!

PERIDOT: DON'T shout on the phone you will make me def and if you are nervous hit something not a person

Ruby: oh...ok do you think she will like the blue neckless that I made for her?

Peridot: don't worry bro she will love it beside doesn't she like you already?

Ruby: I don't know I'll find out later see ya at the ball peridot

Ruby POV

I went and knock on Sapphire's door and saw her she was "wow...sapphire you look amazing" I was blushing a lot and she probably most have noticed it was embarrassing "hi you look good too" she giggled I gave her my hand and we went to the ball we reached the gym were the ball was held "wow...who is she?"some guys started to stare at sapphire I can't blame them but still "eyes off she is with me" I took her in the middle of the gym and started dancing I put my left hand on her side and my right hand on her left she put her right hand on my shoulder is at that time i realized that her gem was there we danced for a while and decided to go get a drink peridot came saying we both had to play a song so I left sapphire and went on the stage "this is for the most special girl in the universe" I smiled at sapphire and started singing

At the end I went and sit next to sapphire "sooo..did you like it?" She was staring at me surprised "you can sing ruby?" "Yea me and my brother had a band at my old country we would normally play at birthdays and parties come with me I want to show you something" peridot told me that at night this was the perfect place were to confess and honestly it was true the blue sky the moon and the stars were beautiful "wow ruby why did you bring me up here?" "Cause your my missing piece...I...well like you..." She looked at me in disbelief "are you serious? How can you like someone like me I'm defective and I'm not like normal sapphires are supposed to be..." "That makes you even more special than before there are a lot of defective gems out there and two of them is me and you I can't really control myself and my elements react to it you instead are not defective you are perfect just because your gem is in your hand doesn't mean you can't be perfect...that's what my mum used to tell me before living me lapis peridot and dad..." She hugged me and smiled at me "that's the sweetest thing someone has ever told me ruby really thank you for making this night perfect.
