Chapter 5

Mikasa POV

I woke up blinking the tiredness out of my eyes. I felt a weight on my chest. I looked down and saw Annie's head resting on my chest while she snuggled closer to me. She looked so peaceful. I didn't want to wake her up so I went on my phone.

45 missed calls from Eren.
40 new messages from Eren.
5 missed calls from Armin.
10 new messages from Armin.

What the fuck? How do I not hear my phone ring? Seriously.

I felt Annie shift a little bit.

1 new message from Eren.

I quickly unlocked my phone.

Mikasa - Sorry didn't answer before. I was asleep.

Eren - I was so worried. Where are you?

Mikasa - with that girl from yesterday.

Eren - the one with the leather jacket.

Eren - she's short.

Eren - I don't like her.

Mikasa - you don't know her.

Eren - I don't need to know her.

Eren - she's one of those gangsters with leather jackets. Thinking there so cool.

Eren - I don't like people like that.

Mikasa - you're dating Levi.

Mikasa - just idk get to know her first.

Mikasa - for me?

Mikasa - plz.

Eren - fine. Ill try my best.

Mikasa - thanks.

Annie snuggled closer to me. I closed my phone and placed on the nightstand and wrapped my arms around her. I felt my eyes close and fall into a peaceful sleep.

I woke up to lots of moving. I opened my eyes and looked down at Annie who eyes were already opened and looking at me.

"Good morning." I yawned.

"Good morning to you too." She replied and got up. "What day is it?"

"Friday." I groaned. "School again."

"Great." She replied sarcastically. "I won't be able to pick you up today. The stupid teacher wants me to stay after school since I was texting you. So it will be Bert or Reiner. You could just tell them if you don't want to get picked up."

"Looks like you're on time today, Mikasa." My health teacher stated. "Go sit down." She grabbed her clip board that had roll call on it.

"You're on time today," Eren said when I sat down. My seat was next to his. "So did you do anything yesterday?"

"Yes."

"Like what?"

"You know I had a smoothie," I answered. "That's basically it." I took out paper and a pencil. Writing down the notes on the board.

"Are you going to be home today?" He asked I could basically sense how much he wanted me home. But I don't lie.

"I'm not sure," I answered truthfully. "But don't count on it." I looked over at Eren, he looked sad. "Can't you just go to Levi's place and stay there until I come home?"

"We had a fight, about his cleaning problem." He muttered. "We haven't talked since then." He looked at the board, jotting down notes as well. "So I'm not sure." He shrugged his shoulders.

"Just ask," I replied, looking at the board, then at my paper scribbling down what Hanji wrote on the board. "You guy's didn't break up so you should just ask. The worst case scenario is that he calls you a brat or ignores you."

He nodded, "I'll ask him at lunch today."

Lunch finally came and I was bombarded by questions by my friends.

"Who's that girl that always picks you up?" Jean asked when he saw me sitting down. "Is she like you're girlfriend?"

Should I lie?

I'm not sure if Annie what's people to know that we're dating. She seems like the type of person that didn't like attention.

"No, she's my friend," I answered. My eyes lowering down to my food. I could feel Ymir's eyes on me.

"I know that girl," Ymir stated. "I knew her back in my skater days." Krista nodded beside her. "She's trouble."

Krista nodded. "She is."

"Don't worry about it. We're just friend's." I explained. "Besides I'm pretty sure we're not talking about the same person," I stated.

"Annie Leonhardt." Krista automatically responded. My mouth gaped at her.

I'm going to talk to Annie about this.

Bert had picked me up and we drivided to his house. I automatically went into Annie's room and waited there for her, going on my phone passing the time. I looked around her room. I spotted her computer and decided to go on it.

I looked through her music file.

Lot's of sad music.

So depressing.

Time passed by as I looked through all her sad music. I couldn't find any happy ones.

"What are you doing on my computer?" I looked behind me and saw Annie. Her backpack resting on her bed. I couldn't read her face.

"You know. The usual. Looking through my girlfriend music folder." I nervously said. She rolled her eyes. "Why so much depressing songs?"

She looked at me. "I like them." She sighed. "I don't know. It makes me calm down." She whispered. "That's not weird right?"

"It's not," I answered. Annie laid down on her bed. "At least we have no school tomorrow right?"

She nodded. "Are you going to stay over again?" I looked at her.

"Yeah." I notice her smile.

"Great."

I walked to her lying down next to her. I slowly lifted myself so I was hovering over her. I gave her small kiss on the lips before I quickly pulled away. "You're such a tease." She muttered wrapping her arms around me. "Wanna watch a movie?"

I nodded as I laid my head on her chest. She unwrapped her arms so she could reach the laptop. "What movie?" I asked.

"What ever is on the internet." She replied.
