Lucas smiled as he entered his and Ness' dorm. "Ness I--" Ness turned to Lucas, his blue eyes filled with sadness. Lucas walked over to him. "What's wrong?" He asked. "Lucas, we need to break up." Ness said. Those words seemed to pierce Lucas' soul. Hurting every inch of him. "W-what...?" He said, he voice cracked as tears filled his eyes. "I'm sorry, Lucas.....just.....give me some time to.....I don't know.....rest?" Ness said. Lucas wiped his tears. Ness sighed. "Anyway, what were you going to say?" He asked. Lucas looked at a letter he'd received from Pit. "W-we...I....set us up for a team battle....but....I can change it if you w---" "No, I'll.....just be your battle partner." Ness cut Lucas off. That cut Lucas even more. "C-Can you tell me...why?" Lucas asked. Ness sighed. "Because....I... just c-can't be with you!" Ness shouted, tears fell from his cheeks.

- Earlier That Day -

Ness walked in the dorm after he'd battled Bowser and Marth. Lucas wasn't there, he had to help Toon Link with something. On Ness' bed laid a letter, Ness opened it.

Notice of Suspension

Dear Ness,

I have troubling news, you are suspended from Smash Academy until you can learn to behave. You've fought over Lucas too many times. I understand you love him dearly. But some things you just have to let go.....

Ness growled, crumbling the paper and throwing it out a window. He ran to Palutena's office.

"Come in."

"YOU HAVE SOME EXPLAINING TO DO!" Ness shouted, walking in. Palutena sighed and sat up straight. "Many students have informed me that you Lucas are dating." She said. Ness nodded. "Yeah and..." He waiting for more information. "You've fought five times this week. And it's only Tuesday." Palutena said. Ness nodded. "But I need to protect what's mine!" H shouted. Palutena nodded. "If you love him, Ness......Let him go." She said. Ness gasped. "AH! Alright! I'll do it. But don't suspend me. I'm not going back to Paula." He said.
