The rest of the team came in and I jumped out of my chair.
"Guys!" I said anxiously. The hurried and unfortunately the pack also heard me but I paid them no mind.
"I think I know their victim pool. " they all stared at me and then each other."So you think they're targeting the officers here at the station?" Morgan asked.
"Yes," I started " all of the victims are somehow related to the deputies. Some siblings, significant other, or children. So we need to do some more research on big cases here and interview the officers."
"Maybe he's wanting revenge on the officers?" JJ suggested.
Reid lifted his head up slowly, as if he had a moment of realization.
"What Reid? You have something?" Hotch asked.
"Maybe... Guys what if it is one of the officers?"
I thought about it for a few moments.
"I don't think so." I said. "He's someone with a job that doesn't give him much attention but interacts with people all of the time.."We were rushing around trying to figure out what to do. I decided to interview Hayden again.
"Sorry Hayden. I know it's hard but I need to ask a couple more questions." She nodded at me.
"Was your sister involved in anything big lately? Something involving the department? Like a case or bust?"
She sits quietly for a few moments.
"She was one of the officers that responded to a robbery a couple months ago. These two men were robbing the new bank and the police got there as soon as they were leaving in their get away car. They chased them and they crashed near the woods. One of them was in a coma and died a month later and the other got away. They serched the woods but they couldn't find him and they put out a state watch for him but they didn't know what he looked like so it wasn't much help." She explained.
I thanked her and we left the room. I went and told the team what i'd learned. We looked into it more and turns out, the first vic went missing a week after the robber, who's name was Robert Collins, had died.
"So obviously the unsub was close with Collins. But what was their relationship?" Says Prentiss, thinking out loud. Garcia pops up on the laptop screen.
"Well, it wasnt any of his family. They died in Sacramento in a car crash when he was 17. His mother, father, two brothers, and sister were in the car. His sister survived but she was in a coma for 10 years and just woke up a couple months ago and still can't even walk. It was a six car pile up, four other people died and five were sent to the hospital." She said sadly. I hated car crashes with a passion. They could happen so easily and cause so much damage to the person(s) and their family, mentally and physically."So we need to check foster homes and the boys that were there at the same time as him that match the description of the man that attacked Hayden." Said Morgan.
"On it." Garcia clicked off.
I sighed, this job was really stressful. I walked away from our area since there wasn't really anything we could do until Penelope got back to us. When I looked up I saw Lydia playing with Olivia.
