SOUNDTRACK: "Unaware" - Allen Stone

"What's the schedule again?" Reni asked, pinching the bridge of her nose. "What do we have so far?"

"Yoga with my dad, Meditation, drum circle, and coffee time with Shannon, and cupcake decorating with Tomo," Kate read off in boredom. "Then the concerts each night and meet and greets."

Reni sighed. "Alright. Shannon said he wanted the drum circle at night. So we can do that after the concerts," she said, shifting in her chair. "Cupcakes can be done after lunch, but Tomo said he'd be okay with doing them after dinner. And he said he'd need help with that, so you can do that." She scrolled on her laptop. "Let's put Shannon's coffee time in the afternoon before the meet and greets. I'll have to check with Black Fuel to see if they need extra hands."

"Add in a chat with Neil Strauss and one with Tommy Caldwell," Emma interjected from her desk. "Jared wanted to make sure we talk about Great Wide Open."

Kate nodded and wrote it down. "Well, are we keeping mornings free, then?" she asked. "And then scheduled activities in the afternoon?"

"That's what Jared wants," Reni said. "He said he probably won't get to the site until noon at the earliest. He nyxed the idea of staying nearby so he'll be coming in from the Hills. All three of them will be, I think."

"I don't know how we can determine totals, though," Emma said.

"We could just do a general count," Kate supplied. "Each morning at breakfast, have campers put a rock or something into a jar labeled for each activity."

"That's a genius idea," Reni said, her face lighting up. "But not rocks."

"Guitar picks?" Kate offered.

Both women practically leapt from their chairs. "Jesus Christ, Kate. You gotta hang out here more often," Emma exclaimed happily.

"I'll put the order in for the picks," Reni said, picking up her phone.

Kate smiled as both women jumped into action. She looked at her own laptop and performed her daily check of ticket sales. Ninety percent were gone; day passes were all that was left. Jared would be pleased.

"There are still a lot of day passes left," she told Reni.

"How many?" the woman asked distractedly.

"Uh...enough to need encouragement," the teen said warily.

Reni nodded. "I'll have Jared do something to move them when he's done in the studio today." She made note of it as she cradled her phone on her thin shoulder. "When are you leaving for Colorado?" she asked Kate.

"On Thursday," Kate answered. "And we're there until Monday."

"When you get back, we need to start working on decorations," the other woman said. "Shayla will be busy with your dad."

Kate nodded and looked at the To-Do list that had been written on the wall in bright colors over black chalkboard paint. Slowly, more things were getting crossed off of it than were being added and it was starting to look like Camp might go off without a hitch. Maybe.

The airport was bustling with travelers and Kate had to jog to keep up with Shannon. He had twenty years on her in the airport department and he navigated the busy space with ease. He was also a master at packing, fitting everything he needed into one small carry on bag that he rolled alongside himself as he walked.
