Chapter four

Richards P.O.V.

We all gathered around the gymnasium at the grounds that the Maximus likes to keep us held at during the days, some would call it school; which it is for the humans and I supposed some of the half-breeds, but for us secret pure bloods, it's plain hell. The hounds keep us cooped up in here to try and spot out which one of us is a pure blood so we could bring the "entertainment" of the evening as punching bags. I knew that this wasn't about the event that was supposed to happen that doesn't start until after the days "schooling" for everyone else is over. So this must be good to get everyone all together. I felt someone touch my arm slightly as I was walking, knowing from the sparks it was Jade my mate, "what do you think this is about Richie?" I shrugged my shoulders to answer her and focused on trying to hear anything from the people who were blindly chatting away in the crowded hallway, Jade didn't ask me again, knowing that I was trying to focus on the things around me; it's weird having a second mate, even though she is apart of Lucia, my first mate. I shrugged off that thought hoping that jade didn't pick it up, I didn't want her to know about Lucia, that was my secret amongst other things she does no know. I saw Jacob ahead looking worryingly towards me, I nodded my head at him and as he slowly started to walk towards us; Jacob  was my best friend, we grew up together in the royal courts, were used to be with each other 24/7 ...I guess we still are. I gave him a tight lipped smile as we slowly entered the gymnasium, I scanned the section where the half breeds where supposed to sit and noticed the rest of our group in the middle section. The three of us quickly made are way to the others so we weren't the last to sit; cause normally the last ones got a public beating. Heaven leaned over electra and smoke low, "Do you know what this is about?" I shook my head, "No I couldn't even get word from the humans it seems like no one knows what is happening." He shrugged his shoulders and sat straight. "Well you all may be wondering why you were all called upon to this lovely meeting" I shivered as Maximus's voice rung out in a sing song way, " Well it seems that some of you have been very bad and breaking the rules" I mentally rolled my eyes, when aren't we "breaking" the rules. "It seems earlier today someone decided to take a stroll to the eastside portal, and once being caught killed six of the keepers." I couldn't help the gasp that came out of my mouth like many of the others, "So we brought everyone here, including the teachers to see who was absent so we can punish those who have slaughtered my men." I looked around the bleachers, trying to see if anyone was fidgeting, but everyone seemed to be looking around each other, if no one confessed, than we were all in trouble. "Now teachers can you come over here for a second." I turned my attention back over to Maximus as the teachers slowly approached him, even the confident human ones seemed to be scared. He talked quietly amongst them trying not to be heard, but me being a pure shifter I heard every word; he was asking if anyone was absent and who they possibly are, the teachers response seemed to make him angry, they didn't have anyone missing everyone was here so that meant it was none of us. He dismissed them and walked over to the other waiting hounds, and turned back towards us, "Well it seems like all of you are here, so it may seem that maybe some of you are harboring people. Classes are dismissed for the rest of the day as the keepers go search your homes." Everyone stayed as they were scared to even breathe. Jade grabbed my arm slightly and whispered low, "We took the sheets off the windows right?" I nodded my head, remembering as I picked off every single one of them.

It took hours to search everyone home, before we were all allowed to leave. I sighed a relief as I watched the bus slowly approach are section of town; the houses were more run down than the other sections, and we were also surrounded by barb wire "to keep us in" I knew it was a joke but other people are to scared or dumb to ever realize they can easy jump it. The bus stopped in the middle of road that was right in front of our house, well twilights house; the thought instantly brought me down knowing that she gave her life for nothing, than a thought hit me, something that I needed to talk to Jacob about. As the bus started emptying row after row we finally got off and went straight to our home. The inside was slightly trashed as the keepers went through it to see if we were harboring anyone, which I knew they wouldn't find anything, even if we were finding people, this home was built with hidden doors and tunnels. We all walked in in silence until the door shut, "So who else is freaked the fuck out?" Luke voice broke the silence and I couldn't help but chuckle, by the time everyone was allowed to go home it was dark, I sat on the couch and looked up at Luke concerned face, "It's not funny Richard, this is serious" "I shrugged up at him "I know Luke" "Come on Richard the killings in the plaza is something to worry about, its going to get us all into trouble." I sighed as I rubbed my hand across my face, "I know Luke I didn't say it was a good thing, I honestly believe it is a seriously bad thing, if get anymore stupid rebels trying to be the next "Guardian" Maximus will up the pain that's inflected on all of us there's no doubt about that" "Than how can you be so calm about it" I sighed loudly at his persistence "Because in a way I hope there's a revolution" "yea bu-" Luke stopped talking and I looked directly up at him this time, wondering what has got him to shut his annoying mouth for once, I looked behind me hoping its electra fucking around with some of his books, but the sight froze me to my stop. Two figures dressed in red hood cloaks where standing behind us, watching us in a weird sense. I tried to get a scent off them but nothing. I watched as the smaller of the two looked around the room, taking in the sights of are dirty dusty home; a part of me was insulted that he looked upon everything in a weird sense even know I couldn't see his face I knew he was judging us by it. Slowly the hooded figured looked back in my direction, I tried squinting my eyes to see his face but all I got was darkness. "Who are you?" my voice came out stronger than what I was feeling on the inside and I mentally gave myself a high five. the mystery men both turned their full attention towards me the smaller one cocking his head slightly has if mocking me, "Well?" my voice rung out louder. The smaller guy raised up his hands and my body immediately took a defensive stand, but as he brought his hands to his cloak and pulled it back I stood up completely to fast that my head was dizzy; He was not a he at all but a girl, a girl that looked so familiar to me but I couldn't remember where I've seen here before. "Do you not remember me dear Richard?" Her voice was smooth and angelic like, but rough at the same time, a ting of power was rolling off every word she spoke; I looked her up and down again trying to remember her but I just couldn't, I would've remembered someone who looked like her; she had long black hair that ended at her waist, her build was tiny and petite she looked to be about 4'9 but and I knew instinctively not to push her the wrong way, she reeked of power. Her body was mostly hidden behind the cloak so I couldn't see anything about her body that would remind me of who she was.  before I could say anything Jade beat me to it, " No bitch I don't think he knows you, now if you please get the fuck out of our home, thank you" she grabbed unto my arm is a possessive may that I didn't really like but didn't pull away, I glanced down at her until a loud growl erupted in the room, I instantly looked up seeing the other person with the girl looking at Jade in a way that pissed off my wolf, no one growls at my mate; but again before I could say anything I was once again interrupted "Be carful who you talk to like that, Nicky here doesn't take kind to people who disrespect me, lightly" she than looked back at me and I returned her gaze, "And yes Richard here does know me, if he looks a bit closer he will remember me very clearly" I looked her up and down, but still I couldn't remember her, though something in her face reminded me of twilight but I knew it cant be her, she's been gone for over 400 years. I rubbed the back of my neck and glanced down at Jade than back up at the girl, "I'm sorry but I don't know who you are" She looked me straight in my eyes and the next thing she said shocked the living hell out of me, "You do not remember own sister?"

I stood there dumb found as I looked her up and down and down and up, I could see her, I could see her more clearly, "But how is that possible? You left over 400 years ago how are you alive?" I watched as she shrugged her shoulders, "I do not know brother, I only know that I have woken up in a grave on earth" I walked behind the couch and got closer to her, sniffing the air around her, everything and everyone seemed to disappear as I  faced her, "How come you don't have a scent?" "I can hide it" I looked her as confusion sent in; you have to be very powerful to pull that off, "If your twilight than how is it your so powerful for being "locked" away so long?" I watched as nodded her head slightly as if someone was talking to her, I than looked over at the boy she called Nicky, he was watching me with carful eyes trying not to let anything go, a smirk dancing across his smug face I looked back down at the girl claiming to be my lost long sister, she raised her eyebrows at me than spoke, "Remember what you said to me after I decided to accept Adrian's deal?" I felt my eyebrows furrow together, of coarse I remembered, "I said you cant sell your soul to the devil it wasn't worth it to save all of us." "That I knew what the darkness would do to me if I was there to long, well this is what it did" I watched as she gestured her hand up and down her body, "I do not know how long it took the darkness to over take me, but I can tell you I never once gave in, wasn't until I died in a sense for it to lurk inside of me and make a home." I stared at her amazed, this cant be but here she was standing before. Before I knew what I was doing I engulfed her in a hug.
