You know that butterfly feeling you get in your stomach? That's how the children felt went they were lead to the back stage of the auditorium. Although Medea seemed like a decent woman, they still felt afraid.

Rafael opened the door, shoving the children into the room. It seemed like any other room. There was a large carpet with python skin patterns, A small display branch with no leaves on it, A closet, A small mattress with some sheets on the side, and the dim lights.

"Medea, ma'am." Rafael said in a calm tone.

They saw the closet open as Medea walked out with a albino python rapped around her shoulders. "You brought the children?"

"Yes."

"Alright, good." She smiled, stroking the python gently. "That will be all."

Rafael nodded and left the room. The two helpless children looked over at Medea. "I heard you children were being disrespectful yesterday to Rafael."

"Well, no. Not exactly-" Hazel replied.

"Not exactly?" Medeas eyebrow rose up.

Hazel gulped a little and continued. "One of the children threw a piece of meat at Rafael yesterday, then blamed my brother and I for it-"

"She slapped my sister in the face!" Samuel shouted. "Look at the mark on her cheek!"

Medea sighed. "I see you children still aren't used to your lives here, hm?" The children looked at each other for a moment. "But ma'am-"

"What?... No, child. No need to call me ma'am..."

"Medea. That isn't the problem. The children are rather harsh and Rafael blames us for things we didn't even do."

"Hm... I see."

"Could you..." Samuel replied. "Help us somehow?"

"Afraid not. I can't control the children nor can I control how you see Rafael."

"But-"

"Can't control how we see Rafael?" Samuel snarled. "She treats us like animals, blames us for things we didn't even do, and even hurt my sister. You want to know what I think? Your doing a HORRIBLE job taking care of us children! Not just my sister and I, but ALL of them!"

Medeas face looked red with rage, but she just smiled. "... Don't you love snakes?" The python slithered around her arm. Hazel has seen a snake before in her mothers garden. It was a black racer.

"Not really..." She replied. "But that isn't what we are talking about though..."

Medea gave her a look, a snarl almost. But continued. "Oh, but it is. You see, snakes are graceful creatures, beautiful, quiet..." Samuel looked at his sister, confused. "But, when you hold it wrong or make it frustrated... it will strike." She hovered over the children. "And that's what I am. A snake. I will be calm  and collected when I need to be. But if someone like you brats talk smack, that's when I strike you down... Is that clear, children?..."

The children knew she was serious. This woman was staring at them dead in the eyes. "Y-Yes ma'am..." Samuel replied. She moved back with a smile and pat the children's heads.

"Good," She replied as she glared at Samuel. "You may leave now." Medea walked back into her closet. The children walked off but before they left, something caught Samuels eye. A large book with a symbol of a black moon. He grabbed it quickly and rushed out with his sister.
