"(Y/N), get ready for bed! Your parents are going to be home soon," (Y/N's) babysitter told her. She did as she was asked got into her night clothes and brushed her teeth. Now she was looking out the window waiting for her parents' cars to get into the driveway. She tapped excitedly on the window when she saw their cars pulling into the driveway, she opened the door for them and hugged both of them. "Hey sweetheart, sorry that we're late," (Y/N's) dad apologized. She gave them a forgiving smile.
(Y/N) wasn't a very talkative child, it's not that she can't speak she just chooses not to. As some people would say she's selectively mute. So to show what she's thinking or trying to say she'll do gestures such as when she was tapping on the window to show she was excited. Only she, her parents, and babysitter knew these gestures.
"You ready for that bedtime story?" (Y/N's) mother asked, little (Y/N) nodded happily dragging her mom and dad upstairs to her room. Once they got there (Y/N) got the book 'The Ugly Duckling' and took to her parents for them to read. They put their child into her bed and started to read the story.

(Y/N) was happily eating cereal with her parents, she hasn't been able to do that in a while. "Hey sweetheart I've noticed that you've taken an interest in drawing, can we see them when we get home tonight?" her mom asked. (Y/N) nodded happily excited her parents will finally be able to see her drawings.
Sadly they had to leave so they called (Y/N's) babysitter.
"Annie can you come watch (Y/N)?"
"I'm s-sorry but I can't-" a sneeze interrupted her.
"Your sick aren't you, we'll call you later hope you feel better."
This was the first time Annie called in sick, they couldn't just leave their daughter alone but they couldn't take her to work either. the work they did was just too dangerous.
