I wake up from my nap on the plane and look over at my mom who is still asleep. I open the window and look outside at the sunrising over California. "We have reached Sacramento, California" the pilot says as we land. I look over at my mom and wake her up . "Oh we're here already mija" my mom says opening her eyes and starts gathering her things. "Si mama" I say rubbing my eyes smudging my makeup. We gather our things and head out the plane, and we start heading to baggage claim. Once we get our bags we head go outside and call an uber . Once we got to our new house the truck with our things arrived and so we started unloading our things. "Mama que habitación es mía"(which room is mine?) I ask. "This one," my mom shows me pointing to a room on the left of me. "Gracias" I say as I head into the room Nice room I think to myself and start unpacking my things.
Once I'm done I go down stairs to see the living room already finished and I head into the kitchen for a snack but as I open the fridge I see nothing I forgot that we had just moved there so I had to go to the store. "Mama I'm gonna got take a shower and run to the store do you need anything," I yell up the stairs. " We just need milk ,eggs the basics and gets some stuff to make tamales gracias mija," my mom says. "No problema," I say walking up the stairs. I head into my room which is connected to a bathroom and hop in the shower.
