Chapter 5

I woke up bright and early today so I could get Starbucks.
I get in the shower and get dressed

When I went to school with Alice we would always try to look our best the second day of school because everyone would always wanna look cute the first day and we wanted to be different.
And since Alice wasn't here I guess it just reminds me how we used to be.
As I leave my room I see my mom downstairs drinking coffee and I walk up to her and give her a kiss on the cheek. " Adios mama," I say grabbing my backpack and car keys.
"Adios Mija, have a good day at school," she says as I walk out the door.
As I'm walking to my car I hear someone.
" Hey Bells needa ride to school,"I turn to see Ricco.
"Yeah thanks can we stop at Starbucks first though," I say walking up to him.
"Yeah no problem," he says opening his car door for me.
As I we get in the car I buckle my seat belt and he begins driving.
"So Bells? is that my new nickname or what,"I say laughing and look at him.
"Yeah I figured it made sense," he says laughing.
"Well then if I'm Bells I'm gonna call you Piña,"I say laughing as we pull up to Starbucks.
"Ugh sorry no hablas espanol?" He says pronouncing it horribly.
"It means pineapple you know the like your tattoo," I say pointing to his neck.
"Ohh ok, so what do you want,"he says looking at the menu.
"Umm a hibiscus no water tea please," I say.
"Ok, so can I have a hibiscus no water tea and a black coffee,"he says into the box thing.
"Ok that will be $18.39 next window please," the lady says as we pull up to the next window.
**Skip to school**
"Well thanks for the ride,"I say getting out the car.
"No problem I'll pick you up 3:20 right?" He asks.
"Yeah see you later," I say walking off.
As I'm walking in the building I see Helen and walk up to her.
"Hey Helen,"I say.
"Hey girl, oh my lord I love your outfit it's gorgeous," she says .
"Thanks you look good to." I say with a smile.
We talk for a while but I leave to go put my stuff in my locker. As I'm leaving my locker Mikey walks up to me.
"Hey Bella,"he says giving me a quick hug.
"Hey Mikey,"I say with a big smile.
"So are you going to the party this Friday I heard it's supposed to be epic." He laughs a bit.
"Yeah you,"I say.
"Yeah I guess I kinda have to my stepsister Marissa is dragging me along." He says.
"Oh,well we should get to class," I say .
"Yeah I guess we should, don't wanna be late," he says brushing his hand against mine .
But it was probably an accident.
We walk in the class and sit down.
"So today class one of our cheerleaders have broken there arm so after school auditions will be held to replace her," Mrs.Stratford announces.
"Yassss," I whisper to myself.
"So a girl who loves science and cheerleading wow never seen that before," he laughs.
"Like to see you try," Ashley says looking back at me.
"Whatever I don't mess with gringas," I say rolling my eyes and flipping her off.
"Whatever wannabe," she says turning back around.
I just roll my eyes and start doing what's on the board.

**Skip to lunch**
"Hey," I say as I sit down with Helen and all of them.
"Hey so what are you doing after school?" She asks.
"I'm going to try out for cheer," I say
They all look up at me.
"Are you serious?"Angie asks.
"Yeah why wouldn't I be?" I ask.
"No reason but like don't become one of Ashley's minions," Brooks says.
"Yeah Kate used to be one our friends but then she joined cheerleading and become one of Ashley's minions,"Helen says.
"Oh trust me I don't deal with gringas I can't stand them," I say.
"Ok good," Angie says.
"Your outfit looks cute today," Tyler says looking me up and down.
"Thanks," I say slightly blushing.
**After School**
R-Ricco M-Me
M- I'm trying out for cheer so don't pick me up until 4:30.
R-ok see you then
After I finish texting him I put on my P.E clothes

And head outside on the football field where there auditions are being held.
As I'm walking over there I see girls warming up so I joined them .
"Well I'm surprised you think your actually gonna make the team, like we would ever let that happen,"Ashley says.
"Well it's a good thing it's not up to you its up to the coach," I say gesturing towards the coach.
"Well I highly doubt your any good either way," Ashley says.
"We'll see," I say walking off.
"Ok lady's Ashley,Marissa, and Kate will be doing some of the routines we will be doing, you will have to be able to do that then, after we will pull out the ones who can keep up and they will have to show if they can tumble," Coach Kelly says.
After coach announces that Ashley, Marissa, and Kate start doing they're routine. So I begin and do it perfectly, I used to be in Elite Cheer back in Texas so I was sure to ace this.
"Ok great girls if I call your name step forward you have made it to the second round, Ana, Taylor, and Bella,"Coach Kelly says.
"Yass," I squeal to myself.
"Ok each of you will have to do four cartwheels and a back hand spring," Coach Kelly says.
"I'll go first,"Taylor says.
The girls move out the way and Taylor begins. But as she attempts her second cartwheel she stumbles.
"Sorry Taylor but your out we have to have a cheerleader who can do multiple cartwheels," Coach Kelly.
"I'll go,"Ana says.
She starts running but falls trying to do a cartwheel.
"Sorry your out Ana, Bella you may go," Coach Kelly.
I do the four cartwheels and the back handspring perfectly and because I'm extra I do a somersault.
"Perfect Bella, you've got the spot you will be our new flyer practices starts tomorrow until 4:30 and we have a game on Thursday," Coach Kelly says.
"And you thought I wouldn't make the team," I say eyeing Ashley.
"Whatever," Ashley says walking off.
I grab my stuff and walk out to the parking lot where Ricco was waiting.
