So Happy I Could Die, my all time favorite Gaga song is an amazing song with amazing lyrics. Written in July 2009 So Happy I Could Die described Gaga in the club with a lavender wig. This song should have been a single in my opinion and I wish she sung it live more often. So Happy I Could die is a contradiction. It's about relying on alcohol and drugs to be happy, she's wasted (so happy) while being depressed (i could die). The production and vocals in the chorus are purposely mellow and monotonous to contradict how happy the lyrics sound. So Happy I Could Die expresses a fear of addiction and that she is scared of the happy place she gets to when she is too high or under the influence. This showcases The Addiction Monster.
