Corl's POV

I walked into the first room which is science with Sub and Alex. The moment I stepped in, people looked at me. I am not even kidding, they legit looked at me like I'm some kind of army that wanted to raid the school. I just kept myself silent as I continue to walk into the lab. Alex walked past me and take a random seat at the middle table, I decided to sit at the table behind Alex. I'll let Sub sit with him. I waited till the lab is packed with students. Somehow my eyes caught a look of a tall and buff guy. He looks like a punk. The way his clothes are and his face with several scars. But his brown hair and eyes are charming. He wore a black leather jacket with a striped shirt inside. Oh and also a ripped jeans. His eyes scanned around the room but I see that he decided to looks towards my direction. He's not going here, right? I mean, there are no tables left behind me, and I'm sitting at the very back of the lab. Please don't be,

Then prediction prediction! He walked towards my table and sit down next to me. Not even a word asking " Is this seat taken? "

This guy, legit... Ya know what? I'm not even going to bother saying anything. I'll get into more trouble if so. " So you're the kid my friend talks about earlier " I heard a voice. A deep one. I turn my head and the guy earlier is now looking at me.

" You could at least say something back you know? I'm not going to bare my school years sitting with someone that can't even speak English " He said. " I-I could! " Somehow I stutter out. That's not how I wanted my sentence to turn out! I'm not even supposed to stutter in this situation.

" Well, gladly you spoke English. Not like the last year I'm stuck with a kid speaking gibberish. " He said. Then there comes in the awkward silence. I don't even know what I'm supposed to say. Right before any of us say anything, the teacher walked into the class with papers in her hand. " I'm so sorry I'm late, I couldn't teach you guys today. Here's a group assignment. Do in pairs and your partner is the one that's sitting next to you. I want the worksheet on my desk tomorrow morning. " She said as she put the papers down on the front desk and leave the class all in a rush.

" I'll go get our worksheet " The guy next to me said as he gets up and walked towards the front desk. Wait, I didn't agree on working with him! I wanted to change partners! What if he's a friend to the guy that tries to flirt with me earlier?! I'm silently panicking in my seat. " Don't worry Corl, he's not that bad " I heard Alex's voice. I turn my head forward and Alex smiled at me. Which gave me confidence. The guy that volunteer to take the worksheet came back after couple of minutes. " Here " He hand me a set of paper. I could see scars and bandage wrapped on his hand. My hands shiver and the moment I reach out for the paper, we stare at each other.

" You really are the kid that got flirted with earlier " He laugh out of nowhere. " W-what's so f-funny? " I ask. " Nothing.. Your face are priceless earlier " He stopped laughing.

" C-can we just finish this assignment now? " I ask. " There is only couple of minutes left. Today's schedule for lab aren't that long ,so how about my house later. " He said. " S-sure " I didn't think twice saying that!

The bell rang before I could object his suggestion. " Great. I'll meet you at the school door then, Braden. " He said as he gets up and left real quick. I was still shocked. What? H-how did he even know my name? W-we just met! How, like.. What?!

" Corl? You okay? " I heard Alex's voice. I look forward and see Alex stood there all confused. " You look like you're being eaten mentally " He said.

" W-who is the guy n-next to me? " I ask. " That's Denis, a great friend of the guy that tries to flirt with you. " Alex explained. " You must be shocked on how he wanted to be your partner. I mean you're doing an assignment with someone that's known well in the school. " Alex said again.

" I suggest that you keep yourself safe when you're with him. " I heard another voice. I look towards Sub and he's smiling a bit. " Did you just talk? " I ask. He nods. " I have a feeling that you're a guy that I could trust " He said. The day went on until it's lunch time. Which is a hell of a torture since cafeteria is a place where people are in their own groups with their own popularity.
