First Day, First Problems

Corl's POV

I was woken up by my mom shaking me. She gripped my shoulder softly, shaking me again. " Ma.. I am sleepy. " I groaned. " Wake up, Braden. It's your first day of school and you're late " My mom said. " What?! " I jumped out of my bed immediately, grab my towel then run into the bathroom. Right before I shut the bathroom door I could hear my mom laugh a bit.

It took me several minutes to take a shower and another several minutes to put on my clothes.

I took a glance at the clock and oh lord, I am so late. I ran out of my room with my backpack. I got downstairs quickly, then grab a piece of bread. " Bye ma! Love ya! " I said quickly before I open the front door then slam it behind me. I walk slowly for a bit to finish my already cold bread then continue to run.

Eventually I made it to the school gate. The moment I step into the main door of the school, I slowed my pace down. I look around and I see a lot of other people standing in groups of pairs. All of them chat with each of their groups. I just remembered the email I received yesterday evening. I already told me that a locker had been assigned for me. I supposed it's 358.

I saw that there's a few people stood near the area around the locker. The moment I step closer towards my locker, every eyes that's around me turned towards me. I suddenly got a feeling that something bad is going to happen. I shrug it off and enter a new locker combination code and put my stuff inside my locker.

" Well, well.. Looks like we got a new face here. "

I turned my attention from my locker to a guy in red jacket. A guy that is a bit taller than me with a black hair and brown eyes. I kept myself silent.

" Not gonna talk? Afraid a cutie like you got taken? " He said as he step closer. I backed away a bit.
" Come on.. Talk to me " He said.

I was about to say something but then I saw another guy step in. " I told you to stop scaring away new people! " The guy in the purple hair exclaims.
" Just because you have power here doesn't mean you could stop me. " The guy earlier said. " I could get you in trouble. Remember that, idiot! " The guy with the purple hair pushed him away from me.

" Fine, but I won't stop. " He replied as he turned around and walked away.

" Everyone get back to your own business! " The guy in the purple hair said. The eyes that's looking at me earlier had need turned away. I sigh of relief. " Sorry that your first day is ruined.. " He replied. " N-no! It's fine! " I said. " I'm Alex " He said. " I'm Braden, call me Corl. " I said. " Oh! You're the guy that I was assigned to show around the school! " He said.
" R-really? " I ask. He nodded excitedly. " I supposed you figured out the locker thing. Then we could start our walk around the school then! " Alex exclaims as he grab my hand. I quickly shut my locker and went on with Alex. What a nice guy.
