1. A scroll for me?

      You could take one look at my description and think that I was the most fearless person in the world. Well surprise, I'm not, well I wasn't; not until after formally meeting the princess. I was the type of person that didn't really prefer to have a king, let alone his bloodline.

     King Terrance, he has been king for 15 years and has only had one daughter. Currently at age 42, he had her with his first wife at the age of 23, Brook Munoz. Whom in fact past away during the birth, but that didn't stop him. King Terrance went out to search through more suiters, and didn't stop till he found the perfect wife and mother.

     His newborn daughter, Annabelle was born when I was just a toddler. I am about 3 years older than the princess, which doesn't matter unless you are picked to be a suiter. However I am female, so that won't happen. It's okay to be gay in the kingdom of Neko, but not in the royal family. They are strictly forbidden to have relations with any one of the same gender. But back onto the princess. As she grew, she gained her mother's eye and hair color, and her gentle touch. Her hair was a dark dirty blonde with brown streaks sprinkling the blonde. Her eyes were a forest green that just woke up to the sun peeking over the mountain tops. She didn't really appeal to me, but then again no one really did.

    Now as for me, I'm a girl that doesn't really like to be around anyone. When I was young, my family and I lived in the Neko village. After my mother passed due to an unknown disease, my father sold me and my brother to a military house. He told us that we looked to much like our mother and that he couldn't look at us now that she's gone. I was upset but more sad because of my mother's passing, than being sold to serve the kingdom. At the military house, they cut my black hair short to match my brothers, but was almost kicked out when they were told I was female. The house changed my name to Hailey, then started our training, at my age of 3 and my brothers 5 years. Later on I moved off to the edge of the village near the wood and built a house with saved gold and stayed away from everyone in the kingdom.

~~~15th day of Spring. Present day.
21 years of age.
The winter had just passed and I'm running low on food. I woke up with a headache and nothing on my mission bulletin board. Free day I guess, I'll go to the market to stack up on food. Being a huntress, I get paid to bring people in, or kill them for money. And the job doesn't pay half bad. Back at the military house i was taught to have no fear, mercy, or greed. So basically kill or be killed and be happy with what you get. I've been in this job my whole life and haven't seen my dad in 18 years. I live with my brother and he's mostly out on missions so I'm usually home alone. That is if I don't have a mission either.
I walked outside to the horse stable just off the side of our house and saw that only my horse was there. Yeah, Charlie (My brothers horse) wasn't there. Nolan how ever was, and so was Winston. The house gave us one security dog to keep us safe when we went out and we named him Winston, he's a Agouti and white Husky. Nolan is my horse and he has little speckles of white all over his naturally black fur.
"How are you two doing?" They are literally the only things besides my brother that brings me joy. I rub Nolans muzzle and pat Winstons back." Do you need more water and hay?"
I peeked over and saw the empty bucket and opened the latch to grab it. Getting out and closing it behind me, Winston gets up to try and follow me to the river just at the end of the hill. When I get there, there's a man with his feet in the water. " Hey neighbor, wonderful weather we're having huh?"
I just ignore him and continue past the river to get a fresh bucket of water. I'm not letting Nolan drink dirty foot water.
Winston stays close behind and tries to keep up. Human interactions make him anxious as well as me. The villagers are so perky and calm, it's just unnatural. I walk up to the nearest faucet so I can just get the water and leave. Just then I heard and felt a little girl tug on my jacket.
"Excuse me, do you have any bread or fish to eat?" Okay, I'm distant, but not a monster so I take the bucket in one hand and the little girls hand in the other and walk up to a market stand. I pull out a little bit of money to buy her a loaf and some fish to go with it. I hand the food to her with a smile and she jumps and gives me a hug. Turns out her family was in deep trouble and lost all their crops because of the winter storms. She takes the food and walks off a little then turns around and waves, then yells," THANK YOU!"
Her parents came up and asked where she got it from and she pointed in my direction, and I sent a smile down their way. They smiled back then turned with the food and their daughters hand. Her parents looked so tired, and broken. I rub my eye and head back to the bridge to go my house. The man is still there.
" Hey that was rude of you, you didn't respond to me." I just ignored him again and walked over and started up the hill with Winston pulling ahead of me.
I poured the water in the tub to make it easier for Nolan to drink and then left to head inside. Walking in, I looked in the fridge and a wave of disappointment hit me. I forgot I was running low on food. But grabbed an Apple and headed back out the house to go shopping. I kissed Winston on the head and told him to stay and protect the house. When I got outside I almost ran into a horse. It wasn't Charlie and Nolan didn't get out. It was a tan stallion, and was looking me right in the eye. A man got off and while holding the reins, handed me a scroll labled; A message from the King.
"Are you sure this is for me?" I asked confused. He nodded and hopped back on his horse and stormed off. "Well what if I had more questions?" I opened the scroll up and my mouth dropped. I couldn't believe my eyes. This had to be a joke.
