It took me a little bit to convince her to start walking again but toward the end of the song, she thanked Ruben and said farewell. After that I was starting to get the feeling if my bladder viciously punching me. I walked us over to the bathrooms and demanded that Annabelle stay right outside the door. I was only a few minutes when I heard a couple of foot steps. They were heavy, really heavy, like the person they belonged to had some weight to them. I tried to hurry and wash my hands but when I got out I didn't see Annabelle. DAMMIT, I knew I should have went before we left the house. Now I've lost her and it's all my fault.
I looked at the market across from the door and saw four fairly big men standing in a circle in front of it. I looked a bit closer and saw a pair of small legs pushed up against the brick wall. Annabelle!
I rushed over and pushed my way through the guys. It was indeed as I had thought. "Hey, why are you interrupting our examination?" One spoke.
"Sorry boys party's over, she's off the market." They all looked at me with confusion and then all smirked.
Three laughed while one stepped up, "Can we join that sale."
I felt my cheeks heat up and I shut my eyes and pulled back my fist under my waist gathering undetectable power, Then I just released. He froze for a moment then grabbed onto my arm and coughed in pain. The man was brought to his knees and I grabbed a handful of his tunic, then looked him straight in the eyes." Don't ever ask me that again. Are we clear?" I didn't receive an answer,"ARE WE CLEAR??!!"
I saw the worry in his eyes and he nodded his head, then I dropped him and looked at his three friends. "Aren't you Huntress Hailey? The only hunter to bring in 30 stags?" The story was a little over exaggerated but he spoke the truth. I nodded to his question, he scrambled to his knees and bowed," I am so sorry that we looking apon your girlfriend with out your permission." The other two looked at him weird until he grabbed them and pulled them to their knees as well. They apologized and picked up their friend then ran in the opposite direction of the street.
I turned around and looked at Annabelle, who was appalled at what she had just seen. I didn't want her to see what I was capable of, but that was way too late. He triggered a vein in me that just popped when he spoke of watching an unspeakable ritual. I went to pull her hands away from her chest, but she moved and didn't look at me in the eye, she was scared. I brought a grown man to his knees with one punch, she should be scared. But why of me and why now? She walked back the way we came from the house and didn't speak a word to me. My stomach was growling but I just ignored it and unlocked the door.
She went into my room and closed the door. I stayed out and layed on the couch, staring off at the ceiling. I didn't bother with the t.v. I didn't bother with the blinds, or with locking the door back. I just layed there, thinking about how much better I could have handled that. I scared her, now she's gonna think that when she pushes my limits she's gonna end up like that man. That thought sent a shiver down my spine, but I didn't move. Sleep crept up on me and took me while I was pensive. I didn't even realize I had fallen asleep.

I woke up and looked out the window, it was dark? But I had only taken a nap, hadn't I? I tried to sit up but
I felt heavy in doing so. I could hardly breath and I couldn't really move. This was the same feeling from this morning, heavy yet light. I glanced down and saw that Annabelle had layed herself on the couch when I was sleeping. But wasn't she scared?I felt her breathing hitch and looked down to find that she was awake, and crying. Her grip on my shirt tightened and her breathing skipped. Without thinking I brought my hand to stoke her hair. She was startled and jumped up out of my embrace.
" I didn't think you were awake." She said wiping away a tear. I sat up and reached to her, I wrapped my arms around her like it was instinct. "What are you doing?"
"I don't know." I answered. I continued to stroke her hair as she calmed down. I hesitated," uh, what's wrong?"
She buried her face in my chest and cried harder. I tightened my grip a little without thinking." You-u, s-scared me." I felt all hatred for this girl leave little by little ever since she arrived but now it was all gone." I thought I lost you." She managed to get her arms around me and hug me tight.
"You thought you lost me?" I questioned. How could she lose me, there is nothing to lose.
"That wasn't you that tried to reach for me. I felt tension and hate emit from your body. That wasn't you."
Was I really that angry, that she didn't recognize me?
"I was going to come out here and apologize for not explaining but you were already asleep. So I just layed down and tried to go to sleep too, but woke up from nightmare. And here we are." She loosened up, but I kept my hold.
I buried my face in her neck," I'm sorry." She seemed to jump at my words." I try to protect you like my job entails but I just keep hurting you. These past three days have been hell for you, and you should and shouldn't be scared.I know I'm not the best person for this, but I'll try harder." She eased up even more and just seem to lay there in my arms. Why did this girl make me feel something other than hatred for myself? But love for others. Could i....no that's impossible especially for me. But it still could be possible.
We readjusted ourselves and she fell asleep in the same spot as last night. This was warm, soft, and comfortable and I liked it.
