~Present day 19th day of Spring.

As eventful as it was, yesterday was one I want to forget. The way the kids stood around Camren, was terrifing. And the mage aura, that couldn't have been their's could it?

Anna came from the hallway with a towel on her head. I chuckled a bit, I have extremely short hair and never had to do that after a shower. So I find it some what funny. But my smile of mockery disappeared and a real grin snuck on my face. The light knows just how to catch her beauty. Did I just say that? Am I losing my mind? I've got to be. But I don't know, am i?

She walks over and sits next to me. Me being the creep that I am, I continue to stare at her.

"Uhh, Lee? You're staring." She tilted her head and looked me in the eye. I felt my face color with heat, and quickly looked away. Thinking back to yesterday again, that's the second time I've almost lost control. What if...No no what if's, I'll hold it in better next time. I will. I know it.

But how true was that?

I sighed then rubbed my face and stretched.

"Sleep well?" She asked. I mean I could lie and say yeah, but then she'd pick up on my lying. Anna isn't gullible, there are people that you could say you're fine to and they'll believe you, but not Anna. She looks you dead in the eye and can tell if you're lying or not.

I looked back at her," uh, no not really."

She gave me a concerned look, then lowered her eyes," is it because of yesterday?"

It fell silent, the sound was so fragile. Her soft voice, my embarrassment. I just nodded, again if I lied she would've known.

" Do you wanna talk about it?" She cocked her head and gave me a crooked smile. I shook my head and she stood up. Reaching her hands for mine and pulled me up. Taking the towel off of her head and tossing it to the side. This might end badly.

She slipped her arms around me, tight. Then whispered," can I show you something?"

My eyes widened thinking the worst and I stepped back from her embrace. Red colored my face, making me look away.

She looked at me in confusion. The the light bulb lit up in her pretty head." Not that," she pushed me lightly and giggled. I broke a grin of relief. " Its something better, I promise."

She took me by the hand and lead me out the door. Bare foot we walked down the river bank, I began to wonder where she was taking me. I tried to talk to her but she was too focused on getting us to our destination. We came up to the bottom of a hill at the edge of the wood. She motioned for me to push forward and climb up the hill with her. I did, I don't know why I trust her, I just do. It took about all day to get around all the vegetation, but she stopped at the peak where the wood ran to a halt and a huge opening.

My eyes widened and I took it all in. The sun, just below the hill, made the clouds look a pinkish color with the fiery backdrop. She looked at me and sat down at the side of my feet, then tugged on my hand and pulled me down with her. It was like a dream, filled with cotton candy clouds and and open meadow of mint chocolate chip ice cream. It was beautiful, I felt a weight push onto my side and I looked to see. Anna, dropped her head onto my shoulder and put her hand on mine. I swallowed hard and looked forward, again.

The dark sky was filled with colors. Purple, black, blue, indigo, and a lot more I couldn't even name. The weight lifted and I turned my head. There she was, staring right at me.

"What?" I asked, she was just looking over me. Trying not to make things weird. I cleared my throat." Is this it? It's beautiful." My tone softened with every word. She moved a bit closer, slowly getting closer and closer until our noses almost touched. I backed my head up and looked out of the corner of my eye.

She was dangerously close to me. I couldn't take it, my chest was on fire and I could hardly breathe. I backed up alittle more, but she made up for lost space and moved again. I layed on my back after trying to back away, she hovered closely above me. She peered down at me." What are you doing?" I asked shakily.

Anna dropped her face lower to my ear and whispered," Just something I've never done." She lifted her head and her eyes met mine until they finally closed. She closed the gap between our faces and pressed her lips against mine. I didn't kiss back, however I can't say I didn't want to. My eyes drifted shut and my hand rose from my side and pushed her shoulders. We gasped for air, and my mind ran through what had just happened.

This can't be happening. I should have stopped her I had a feeling this would've happened but I wasn't sure. Dammnit why did this happen of all things. But I feel better, calmer, and different.

She looked at me and cocked her head, realizing I was in deep thought she waved a hand infront of my wide eyed face. "You okay?"

I couldn't answer, but I had to."Uhh w..what was, what was that?" I touched my lips with my fingers. Her warm, and soft texture lingered. My vision wouldn't focus, and my breathing couldn't steady.

The sun was just about down, only with a few orange speckles left behind on the clouds. We looked at each other and she sighed." You didn't like it did you?" The smile from earlier was wiped from her cheeks and she played with the grass, not looking at me.

What do I answer. She wants me to say yes, but if I do she might do it again. And if I say no she might think that she made a wrong move. How can I get passed this?
