"Princess! Wait! Where are you going?" Your maid, Paula, called out to you, as you were running through the streets of the town to the bookstore. You stoop for Paula to catch up to you, and to also take a breath after running around.

"Paula, I'm going to the bookstore to get a present for Bruno!" Bruno was your childhood friend, and you grew up together since your parents were close with Viktor. You visited Granzreich often, considering it wasn't that far from your country. Then you were off again, running to the bookstore.

You looked around the shelves, nothing taking your interest. Until you found a book about the human knowledge, covering every subject. You knew immediately to get that one.

You finished purchasing the book you found the most appealing, and went back to the streets to purchase something for yourself.
You were walking down the street and then you came across a small bakery, the smell of cinnamon catching your nose, the appetising look of the cream puffs, you had to stop and go in. You bought a strawberry cream puff and a cinnamon roll.

Happy with your purchases, you returned to the carriage, and headed back to the palace, having a pleasant conversation with your personal maid Paula.

"Princess, why did you buy Bruno a gift?"

"Please, Paula, when we're not in the public eye, call me Y/N," you looked at her and smiled and then continued, "I got Bruno this gift because I wanted to thank him... for being the only person who can understand me. He may always be studying, but he at least tries to care for me."

Your parents were always busy, after all running a country isn't easy, but no one payed that much attention to you. The majority of the servants were shy around you, they didn't want to get on the bad side of a high royal, and the future heir of a highly influential country. You were an only child, so you had no siblings to talk to. Your mother called you a miracle, after all she struggled to even have a child before you. You were the only one to survive.
That's pretty sad, but you were thankful to be alive.

"That's so sweet, Y/N..." you looked up at Paula and smiled. You knew that Paula already knew about your small crush on Bruno. Small crush is an underestimate to be honest.

You were now in Bruno's room(doN'T GET ANY DIRTY IDEAS READERS!) and you were both eating the cream puff and cinnamon roll.

You handed him your gift, and smiled and hugged him. You were also going to finally confess to your crush of 5 years.

"It's a gift to say thank you for being the only person to try understanding me... and also to say..." you looked up at him, into his blue eyes. "I love you."

He looked at your face, still hugging you. "Ich liebe dich auch..." then he leaned in to give a quick kiss. Your lips touched, and it was a harmony that was beautiful. You truly loved him. The kiss tasted like cinnamon rolls. Perfection.

Extra ending!

You and Bruno didn't know that Viktor saw the confession and the kiss, and guess what he did? He contacted your parents and arranged a marriage.

Currently you were at a royal ball, in Granzreich. Lots of nobles and royalty were surrounding you. Many people came up to you, trying to make deals with the heir of a royal county, but you politely declined and went to find Bruno. You were having a conversation with him, until Viktor made a speech with your parents.

"Everyone! We have an announcement to make. I, Viktor Von Granzreich, and The king and Queen of Venetarias (I just made up a place that will now be your country in this oneshot.) have arranged a marriage between Princess Y/N and Prince Bruno!" Your now father-in-law called out.

All eyes were on you and Bruno. You are shocked, but not as shocked as Bruno. He was like a statue due to the shock.

It all worked out in the end.
