A Weird Beginning (Jyrus) HIATUS

A Few Weeks Later

I fidgeted while we waited for Cyrus to answer the door. It had taken a few weeks of helping Cyrus take care of Lewis and Admiral for me to get up the courage to do this. I glanced beside me at Ryan. He gave a thumbs up before walking away.

I opened my mouth to protest but then the door knob was turning and I was pretty sure my heart was beating hard enough to break a rib.

Cyrus grinned at me when he'd opened the door and Lewis pushed past him to nudge my legs. Using him as an excuse to hide my face, I bent down and rubbed behind his ears.

"Did you need something or did you just miss me?" Cyrus teased.
I laughed because it was funny, even though it was kind of true.

"Actually umm, I wanted to ask you something."

"What is it?"

"Would- umm, would you like to have dinner with me tomorrow night? Like a date?" I was honestly doing better than I thought I would, though I still felt like I was going to explode with nervousness.

I had been staring at the dogs fur but then I was suddenly nose to nose with Cyrus. He had bent down and placed his hands on my cheeks so he could force me to look at him. He was smiling.

"Of course." There was a soft, gentle brush of skin across my lips and then he was pulling away. "I'll be over later so we can figure out a place." We stood up together and when he shut the door, I could still see his smile in my mind. God, he was adorable!

When I turned around, Ryan was standing in the open doorway to our dorm, grinning.

"You're blushing," he teased.

"Shut up and come help me pick out an outfit."

Maybe this kind of had a weird beginning- I mean, how many people end up together because they chased a dog and a cat together -but I had a feeling that it was gonna be amazing too.
