A second update because I took so long...
............................

"Maybe you should walk me to my dorm." He pulled away slowly as he stood and I followed him towards the door, pointedly ignoring Ryan's questioning look.

The door clicked shut behind us, leaving us unobserved in the empty hallway. It was a short walk and Cyrus stopped at his door without making any move to open it. Shuffling his feet, he put a hand at the back of my head. Damn, he was beautiful.

"Close your eyes, weirdo," he laughed. My own sounded a bit more like a gasp as I let my eyes fall closed. The beating in my chest echoed all throughout my body, hard against my ribcage. Then it stopped. My heart stopped and he was kissing me.

It was gentle and sweet and our lips weren't even really moving; but his were soft on mine and they way his fingertips curled at the nape of my neck sent shockwaves coursing down my spine. I held the wrist of his opposite hand, where it crumpled the suit jacket I was still wearing and twisted my other in the front of his shirt.

There was a gap between us but our foreheads still pressed together when he tilted his mouth away.

For a moment, I couldn't move, awestruck by his fluttering fingertips and the steady but shaky brush of his breath fanning out across my cheeks.

Somehow, I was able to open my eyes and the sight before me kickstarted my heart, not sending it racing but making it beat just a little bit harder. Cyrus' head was tilted just so, lips parted and pulled up at the corners in a breathtaking, barely there smile.

I've heard that once you get what you've been craving, the desire goes away but it certainly wasn't true when it came to him. I'd just been kissed, good and proper, by Cyrus Goodman, and I still wanted him, all of him, just as bad.
