Apparently, even lunchtime was weird in Gravity Falls. Percy had just explained his encounter with Bill to Annabeth when suddenly a girl wearing a sweater with a shooting star on it ran down the stairs. "Good morning, Grunkle Ford!" Dipper sighed. "Mabel, it's 2 in the afternoon. You overslept again." "Oh." Percy and Annabeth looked at the girl. "Uh, Dipper, who's this?" "Oh, right. I forgot to introduce you guys. Percy, Annabeth, meet my sister Mabel." Mabel grinned and waved, revealing her braces. She ran up to Percy. "So, where are you from? What are your hobbies? Do you have a girlfriend?" "Uuuh... well, Annabeth's my girlfriend." Mabel quickly lost interest in him and turned to Annabeth. "So, how's your boyfriend Percy? Is he nice?" Annabeth leaned back a little. "He's sweet, but a little dumb." "Hey!" Everyone laughed. Dipper stopped laughing, but he was still smiling. "So, can you continue your story?" "Huh? Right. The story." said Percy. "So, after we fell into Tartarus-" "Wait, Tartarus? As in, the Greek Myth version of you-know-where?" Ford asked. "First: Yes. Second: Most of those things in the Greek "Myths" aren't actually myths. At least where I come from." Ford nodded. "Right. I keep forgetting." Suddenly, someone else who looked very similar to Ford entered the room. "Hey, everyone." Then, the man noticed Percy and Annbeth. "Who-" "This is Percy, and this is his girlfriend Annabeth. Guys, meet Grunkle Ford's brother, Grunkle Stan." Percy shook Stan's hand, and Annabeth nodded towards him. Then, she went back to typing on her laptop. Ford walked over and looked at the screen. His eyes widened, and he tapped Annabeth on the shoulder. Annabeth turned her head towards him. "Yes?" "This stuff is incredible! Is this laptop really yours?" "Well, it wasn't always mine. It belonged to Daedalus before me. He gave it to me before he died." "D-D-Daedalus?! As in the inventor who made the Labyrinth?!" "Yep. By the way, the Labyrinth also exists where we come from as well." Ford adjusted his glasses, his eyes still wide open in shock. "I must visit your dimension one day. I need to see all this for myself." "Ahem," Percy piped up, "can I continue now?" "Oh, right. Sorry." "OK, thanks. So, after Annabeth and I fell in, the only reason we survived the walk to the Doors Of Death is because we were drinking water from the river of fire. To put it simply, the water tasted like gasoline." Dipper stuck out his tongue and held his stomach. "Well, there goes my appetite." "Hey, you're the one who wanted to hear the story before lunch!" Percy said. Dipper nodded. Stan suddenly clasped his hands together. "So! We need to get ready for the reopening party for the Mystery Shack!" (By the way, in this story, the events of "Scary-oke" takes place later in the story, a little bit after the events of "Dungeons, Dungeons, And More Dungeons". But they haven't taken place yet. Hint, hint.) Ford sighed. "I have to work on something." Then, he glanced pointedly at Dipper, and Percy noticed. Then, Ford glanced towards Percy and mouthed "the rift". Percy nodded, and Ford was about to head downstairs, when Annabeth looked up from her laptop. (Also, by the way, in this story Annabeth keeps her laptop, but not her dagger. Though you might see it later on in the story, hee hee.) "Can I come?" Ford turned his head and was about to refuse, when Percy backed up his girlfriend. "Before you refuse, Annabeth's really, really smart. She can definitely help you out with something, I'm sure of it. She is Athena's daughter, after all." Ford eventually nodded. Annabeth stood up and kissed Percy on the cheek. "Don't do anything stupid while I'm gone, Seaweed Brain, OK?" Percy smirked and nodded. "Yeah, yeah." Then, he kissed Annabeth on her cheek. "You be careful too, Wise Girl." Annabeth rolled her eyes and smiled, then walked into the basement with Ford. Percy looked around to see Dipper shifting his feet and Stan purposely looking away. "What?" asked Percy defensively. Mabel, though, just clasped her hands together and swung on her feet. "Aaaw, that was so sweet!" Percy chuckled inwardly. "So, since I have nothing else to do and since I'm such a nice guy, how can I help prepare for the party?" Stan stopped looking away. "Hmmm... I'm not sure, actually. There's not much else to do besides what we're already doing. Mabel, how about you introduce Perry to Soos and Wendy?" Mabel nodded so fast Percy was sure she would get dizzy, but she didn't. "Uh, sure, but it's... it's Percy." Stan didn't seem to be paying attention, though. Dipper walked up and whispered in Percy's ear. "Don't worry. He's always like that." Stan whirled around. "What was that?!" "Nothing!" Stan slowly turned back around, his eyes narrowed. Dipper sighed in relief, and Percy struggled not to laugh. Then, Mabel grabbed his arm and pulled him. "C'mon, c'mon! Let me introduce you to Soos and Wendy!" Percy obliged after gently prying Mabel's hand off of his arm. Mabel skipped off, humming happily, and Percy walked after her.
