(A Few Weeks Later)
"This is bad." Dipper muttered as he and Percy stared at the pyramid, the "X", and the bubbles. "Let's go to the Mystery Shack. The barrier might have held up." Percy said. Dipper nodded, and they began to cautiously walk through the town. Suddenly, Percy seemed to notice something. He looked at Dipper. "Get down!" Dipper ducked, and Percy uncapped Riptide. He held the sword to the side as an Eye Bat flew right into it. The sword cleaved through it like a warm knife through butter. Dipper stood, looking back at the creature. "Thanks." Percy nodded. "Don't mention it." They came across one of the few buildings that hadn't been smashed to pieces- a mall. Percy and Dipper headed inside to find Wendy and Annabeth. Percy and Annabeth hugged each other and kissed. "Thank the gods, Wise Girl! I thought I lost you!" They turned towards Wendy and Dipper. "So, we should go to the Mystery Shack." Annabeth said. "Yup." Percy said, nodding. "Wait! Mabel's still trapped in a huge bubble!" Dipper exclaimed. "We'll get her out- wait. Listen." Annabeth said. The mall doors were opening, and everyone hid. They heard footsteps coming closer and closer, until finally they all jumped out armed- and found themselves pointing their weapons at Soos. "Whoa, dudes! Chill! It's just me!" Soos exclaimed, putting his hands up. Wendy sighed, lowering her weapon. "Darn it, Soos." "Dudes, I came to help out! By the way, I've been going around helping people with their problems and stuff. Think there're already some folk songs about me!" Percy had to restrain himself from laughing, despite the situation. It looked like Annabeth was trying not to giggle, too. "So, what's the plan?" "Get Mabel out of a giant bubble and run to the Mystery Shack." Percy said. Soos nodded. "Crazy. I like it." The five of them headed out into the apocalypse. "So, what should we call the end of the world?" Annabeth asked sarcastically. "Weirdmaggedon?" Percy suggested. He was surprised when the others agreed, when suddenly Gideon surrounded them along with his thugs. "Y'all ain't going nowhere, not with me on the job!" Dipper stepped forward. "Gideon, let us rescue Mabel from that bubble." "Think I'll pass, boy! Bill's minions'll be here any second to retrieve y'all! Mabel's mine now! Ha ha ha ha!" Dipper glanced at the floor, then back at Gideon. "Is she?" "Well, yeah. I have her trapped. Ergo, Mabel is mine!" Dipper took a few steps forward. "Gideon, listen to me. If there's anything I've learned this summer, it's that you can't force someone to love you." As he said this, he glanced at Wendy, then looked back at Gideon. "The best you can do is strive to be someone worthy of loving." "Oh, I'm worthy of loving! These prisoners love me!" The inmates cheered, but Dipper remained strong. "But Mabel doesn't. Because you're selfish! But, you can change! Bill thinks there's no heroes in this world, but if we work together and fight back, we can defeat him! You wanna be Mabel's hero? Stand up to Bill, and let us save her!" Gideon's expression turned into one of worry and disbelief. "T-that's crazy! You know what Bill will do to me if that happens!" One of the inmates looked at him. "What, are you scared of Bill?" "No, I just... it's a complicated situation!" Dipper spoke again. "Look inside, Gideon. If all this is for Mabel, then ask yourself what Mabel would want you to do!" Gideon turned, then looked at something. "Dipper... will you tell her what I did?" Dipper nodded. "O-of course!" "I hope you're right about this." Gideon turned around. "Guys, new plan! Bill's minions are gonna be on us in seconds. But I'm not gonna let that dumb triangle be the warden of me! Y'all ready for a good old-fashioned prison brawl?" The prisoners cheered, and they headed towards Bill's pyramid, with Gideon leading them. Dipper and the others watched them go, and Percy walked up, then patted Dipper on the back. "Nice speech, dude." Dipper nodded, smiling. "Yeah, well, it didn't come from nowhere. Let's go." Everyone nodded, and Dipper brought out the key to Mabel's bubble, which Gideon had just given to him. They all ran towards Mabel's bubble.
