Sorry I took so long getting this out. I was busy cleaning house for a week for when we got the new furniture, and we have family over from halfway across the States. I was going to post this the day before yesterday, but we went shopping, and then we went shopping yesterday. Anyway, I gave the reader a semi-tragic back story because that's my thing. I hadn't done it yet, so I said, "Eh, why the hell not?" Requested by @OtakuPresident and @NashLunaDragneel.

Everyone in Class 1-A thought I was strange. I would obey everyone's orders without fail, no matter the command. Once as a test, Bakugo told me to jump off the roof. I almost did it, until Todoroki stopped me. He was seemingly always there for me, oddly enough. I would also wolf down my food at lunch like I hadn't eaten in days, which in a way, I hadn't. I would stare longingly at my friends' food, and sometimes Todoroki would share.

It was all because of my home life.

"Hey, I'm home!" I called as I walked into my house.

"Go to your room," was my mother's only reply.

"Yes, Ma'am!" I said, rushing upstairs as I was ordered. It was a rule that I had to call my mother "Ma'am" no matter what. Remembering to close the door as I entered, I set my backpack down on a chair full of sticky notes and sat down on my bed beside where my window should be. My window was blocked by an assortment of furniture because my mother was afraid I would jump out and run. I thought it was stupid because I could hurt myself jumping from the second floor.

I gazed at the furniture and sighed, getting up and shoving the loveseat and nightstand out of the way so I could see a bit better. Staring at the children playing in the street and the adults walking instead of driving, I observed the beautiful day I'd never get to enjoy.

I'd never get to experience anything like that.

Just then, a familiar red and white haired head came into view. My eyes locked with heterochromic ones and I immediately turned away as to not arouse any suspicion, but it was too late.

Shoto Todoroki POV

I was taking my time on the walk home, enjoying the nice day. Suddenly, I felt eyes on me. Looking up, my gaze was met by a piercing e/c eyes. The girl turned away quickly, but I could recognize those h/c locks anywhere.

Y/n? I thought as I made my way toward the window. "Hey!" I said in a monotone voice, as always.

The girl peeped out the window shyly. "T-Todoroki?" She asked. Definitely Y/n. "What are you doing here? You should leave now..."

"Why?" I asked calmly, even though her voice was rising.

"She'll find out! I'll be told to clean the whole house again, even though it's still spotless from yesterday!" Y/n was visibly trembling and I knew something was wrong. I had to get to the bottom of this.

"Who? It's awfully strange that you're not outside enjoying the weather and you're locked up in here." I gave her a quizzical look.

"My mom... I'm never allowed out of my room until I'm going to school or cleaning house."

That's when it hit me like a train. She had always followed orders because she was afraid. "How much do you eat?" I ask, trying to get to the bottom of the mystery.

"Whatever is at school and for dinner, it's usually a glass of water and a small loaf of bread." Y/n sighed quietly. I must have done a terrible job of concealing my shock because she gave me a strange look.

"Before you say anything else, I'd like to know if you have any siblings."

"Yeah, an older brother and a younger brother. Why?" Y/n was obviously perplexed by my question.
