CHAPTER ONE

*FLASHBACK*

"I'm NOT going back there!!" I yelled.

"KAIA ELIZABETH GROVE GET YOUR ARSE IN THAT CAR OR WE'RE GOING WITHOUT YOU!!" My dad threatened holding my wrist tightly.

I ripped my arm out of his grip and swiftly turned away.

"KAIA! If you dont come here you are no daughter of mine!...... Rogue"

I ran and ran. Anger flowing through my blood. I ran and didn't turn back.

*End of Flashback*

*8 years later*

The sound of rustling leaves woke me from my sleep. I shot up and sniffed the air..... Hunters!!

I ran and ran, dodging trees as I did. How did they find me again?!?! I looked back and sighed in relief. I had outrun them.

I looked around. Where the hell am I?!?

My legs gave way and my eyes drifted shut as I collapsed. But not before hearing a growl and feeling two arms lift me and carry me away.

"Princess? You awake?" I heard. My eyes shot open and I scanned my surroundings.

"What's going on?" I asked trying to sound threatening but it coming out as sore.

I hadn't said a word in seven years. I tried to sit up but my back made it impossible.

"I was running in the forest and I saw you, then you collapsed and I thought I'd make sure you were okay..." he said, his voice low and sexy. "..... Princess?"

I pulled myself up into a sitting position, my whole body aching and tired. "Princess?" I asked and raised my eyebrows.

"Yep, I saved you, you're my damsel in distress-" He started before I interrupted him with a slap on the head, earning me a growl from him.

"Got a name, honey?" he asked handing me a glass of water.

I took a sip.

"Kaia Grove." I whispered.

His jaw dropped.
