I wrote down my last answer and placed down my pencil just as the bell rang throughout the school, signaling the end of the school day. Today was the last day of the first semester of the year, which meant today was midterm exam day. These tests would determine which classes we would be in for the next semester, so they were very important. Especially to me. I had never failed any test in my entire life.

All the students jumped up from their seats around me hurriedly, rushing to turn in their papers, already packed up and ready to go. "Alright," said Mr. Hwang, our music theory teacher, "I'm going to be grading these tests over the weekend, and you'll know which class you got by Monday. I hope to see all of your faces on Monday. Unless you failed the test." Half the the class groaned and mumbled. Mr. Hwang dismissed the class who thanked him, as they all rushed into the hallway.

I sighed as I slowly put away my pencils, not seeing what the hurry was to leave. Mr. Hwang strolled over to me, as I was the only student left in the classroom.

"You going to the concert?" He asked as I was placing my pencil pouch into my bag.

"What concert?" I asked unaware of which concert he was referring to. There were small concerts in the auditorium almost everyday. This was a music school after all.

"You haven't seen all the posters on the walls?" He asked, surprised that I didn't know what he was talking about.

I scratched my head and tried to remember back to anything that was of significance. "I don't think so..." I said as I shook my head, "I don't really notice or really care about the things on the walls."

"Haven't you at least heard about it from other students?"

"No?" I replied embarrassed. I never really paid attention to the things going around me, even as a kid. It was just a habit to tune out everything that didn't really matter to me at the moment. That's probably why I didn't have any friends. Yet.

"Well," He sighed. "I give up. I'll just tell you. Tonight's concerts going to be..." He paused for dramatic effect. "Day6!" He looked at me, expecting me to recognize the name. Or at least give some sort of a reaction. But I just stared right back at him blankly.

"Day6, Day6, Day6," I repeated the name over and over under my breath, trying to think to a time where the name Day6 had appeared before. It kind of seemed familiar, but the memory was too far for me to grasp it. "Doesn't really ring a bell." I said, shaking my head.

"You really don't pay attention to anything, do you?"

I laughed sheepishly.

"Day6 is only the most popular band in this entire school." He said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"Oh. I didn't know that. I'm guessing they have...six members?"

He nodded. "Yep. Three of the members, Sungjin, Younghyun, and Jae, are my students. That's mainly why I'm promoting them to you."

"That's pretty... cool, I guess." I said, not knowing exactly how to respond.

"You should go! The concert is to celebrate the end of the semester. It's going to be... lit." said Mr. Hwang, who thought he was being all hip and all for using the word "lit".

I cringed at the word lit.

"Come on! The entire school is going to be there." said Mr. Hwang, trying to convince me.

I thought of what better things I could be doing tonight. Since this was the last day of the semester, none of the teachers had assigned any homework. I could be studying my music theory, but I was honestly tired of that after staying up all night studying. I could practice my instruments, but my stepmom was home today, and the only thing that would come out of that would be her yelling at me that I was being too loud. Although I had never been to a concert before, there was really nothing else better for me to do.

"I guess I'll go...? But only if you stop saying the word lit. It's not cool."

Mr. Hwang smiled. "Alright, I'll try to stop saying lit. But you better go run if you wanna make it! All the good seats are probably already gone!" He signaled for me to go.

"What about you?"

"My seat is already reserved. Teacher's privilege." He said as I rolled my eyes.

"Bye then. See you tomorrow. Or wait, no, tonight. See you at the concert tonight!"

"Yup I'll see you then."

I grabbed my backpack and ran out of the classroom towards the auditorium.
