i wake up in my bed, confused as to why there was a person by my side.

oh god did we do what i think we did ??

i was snapped out of my train of thoughts to hear a raspy voice next to me.

"good morning tyler. did you get a good nap?"

okay thank god we didn't do that... (although i wouldn't mind it)

"hey josh, i did sleep well. how is your stomach feeling?

"it's feeling quite a bit better. thank you for everything tyler. i really appreciate it. i should get going now though. my mom is probably worried sick."

"why don't you stay just a bit longer so you can eat? you need to eat some breakfast, especially if you're still feeling weak. does that sound good joshie?"

"fine, i'll stay for breakfast. let me text my mom."

after josh got the approval from his mother to stay, we headed downstairs. we arrived in the kitchen to see that my mom left a note for us.

"i left some breakfast for you and your friend on the counter. there's bacon and pancakes. syrup is in the cupboard. enjoy boys!"

we grab our food and sit down. i glance over to josh's plate and see that he's dipping his bacon in syrup.

"why the hell do you dip your bacon in syrup? it's disgusting!" i say.

josh looks up. "no it's not! how can you eat it plain? the sweetness from the syrup blends perfectly with the bacon!"

"whatever weirdo. why am i even friends with you?" i say in a joking way and giggle.

"oh shut up ty-guy! you love me!"

i looked away as i blushed vividly. i don't say anything and we eat the rest of our food in slightly uncomfortable silence.

"thank you so much for the food. is there a possibility you could give me a ride home tyler? you drove me here yesterday..." josh asks and rubs the back of his neck awkwardly.

"of course, let me grab my keys and put my shoes on."

we get inside the car, and immediately, josh turns on the radio. Sing by Ed Sheeran comes on shuffle. next thing i know, josh is rapping the second verse and nailing it.

I saw flames from the side of the stage

i look over to josh. he's giggling and looking a lot better than yesterday. i smile.

i really like him.
