11: Puppies!?

None of the dorms inhabitants sleep easy tonight, Axel just staring blankly into space, blaming himself for what happened to his friend, his best friend.

Aaron rolls around in the couples bed, his mind whirring out of control over worry, how is he going to get rid of Drake? How close is he to getting his physical form back?

And how long until he comes for revenge?

Aphmau is awake, at least half, some because Aaron won't stop rolling around, but mostly because she feels awful, about Axels friend, about everything that's been going on.

Well, that and physically, she feels awful too, her stomach has been acting up for the last few days, Aaron knows, of course, it's likely just a bug, but she wasn't talking any chances.

And in the morning, all of them are walking zombies, with Axel still staring into space, he doesn't eat breakfast, and seems to have retreated into his own mind.

"Axel, I know you feel awful, but you're only going to feel worse if you don't eat." Aphmau tries to encourage him to at least try to eat, and he barely acknowledges her with a nod, and a single bite of the eggs Aaron cooked for all three of them.

Aphmau eats, she doesn't feel hungry, but apparently was because she ate every bite and was still hungry, well, that is until her stomach turns  and she sprints to the bathroom to empty her stomach of all contents.

What the- This stomach bug is pretty bad, maybe I should see the nurse before I head to Spanish.

As she emerges from the bathroom(after washing out her mouth and brushing her teeth) she kisses Aaron on the cheek slightly earlier than usual, and starts walking towards the medical wing.

Back at the dorm, Aaron is slowly drinking coffee when he sprays it all of the table, and scaring the soul out of Axel.

Strong.... Must Feed, On Strong Mortal...

"What the hell!? Why did you spray coffee everywhere?!" Axel yells, none got on him, but he was in space and the sudden noise made him jump.

"Shhhh!" Aaron shushes him and listens harder, hearing the small thumps of something moving extremely quickly through the vents.

"It's rude to shush people-" Axel begins but gets cut off by a very preoccupied Aaron.

"Yeah, I know, shut up." Axel looks annoyed but does as he's told, looking up at the ceiling where Aaron is focused on.

"Do you hear that?" Aaron points to the ceiling, and Axel shakes his head, bags under his eyes.

"I hear you being crazy, you probably just heard a raccoon in the vents or something, I gotta go to class, see you there Alpha." Aaron grabs his stuff while still listening to the vents, he knows what he heard.

               And it wasn't no raccoon.

"What seems to be the problem?" The nurse asks Aphmau as she sits down on the squishy purple examination chair, sinking into it.

"I've been nauseous for a few days, stomach has been acting up, I threw up this morning, I thought it was a bug, but it's not getting any better."

The nurse, with grey hair, a kind, grandma-ish smile and an old nurse cap with a red cross on her head.

"Dear, are you in a sexually active relationship?" At this question, Aphmau's face gets red, and she covers her face with her hands, groaning in complete and utter embarrassment,

"I'll take that as a yes." She writes on her clipboard, then goes into another room, coming back with a pregnancy test.

"Take this in the bathroom over there." She points to a door to her right. "Then tell me what it says, and don't try to lie, I always know."

Aphmau nods, she had thought of this, yes, but they were always so careful, always used a condom and although she wasn't on the pill, he put several layers on.

She takes it, and waits ten minutes, not looking at it, she slowly picks it up, and with shaking hands, she glances at the results.

Negative.

They are negative, relief pours through her body, she wanted pups, just not in the middle of college, Aaron had throughly convinced her to wait.

She comes out, and the nurse looks at her, kind of chuckling at the smiling student.

"Negative, isn't it?" The nurse asks and Aphmau nods, throwing the test into the garbage.

"It might just be a stomach bug then, here." The nurse does a few more check-ups, then gives her a pack of Tums to help her stomach relax.
