Chapter 8 : THE SONG

RILEY’S POV

After 1 year

Ladies and gentlemen, here with us today to play a new song….. Connor, Riley and Toby of B.Y.E.!!!

“Hey guys! So um…we’re going to play a new song to you, composed by us”

“Technically it was mainly him” Connor said pointing to me

“Well this song is for my first love…” I let go of these words as the crowd cheered away

“They say that if you can’t say it in words, just sing it. So we hope you’ll like it. ”

The first day is always the best

It could be love or a beautiful mess

But you just don’t know

Thought it was love, we were in it, then it was over

Now I’m looking for somebody’s shoulder to make me feel okay

And how could I let her get away in just three days?

Guess I should’ve known she was leaving when she forgot my name (forgot my name)

As we finished the song, in a far back distance I saw her coming closer…..the face of the girl who once stole and broke my heart…..

“Hey” she said with a smile on her face

“Hi”

Though my first relationship didn’t end well, at least I had no regrets. Even if I knew that what she showed we wasn’t real, at least I have experienced being loved and cared by the woman I have loved and still love. This time I wouldn’t let her go…..
