Collision From The World

The Summoner Part 1

When I finally came to I could hear people around me talking in low voices. I start to stir and the voices cease at once. I wriggle my fingers and toes and just before I opened my eyes I got a whiff of a real strong smell. It made me crinkle my nose in disgust. My eyes finally listen to me and they slowly open. In my first blink everything is blurry. Then my next glance I see a familiar face standing next to people who I don't know. Third time my eyes decide to stay open. I take a second to look around the room. I see Jami standing next to two people. They look familiar but I'm sure I've never seen them before.

"Why do I smell so bad?" I ask.

"Fletcher and Othello poured beer on you so you wouldn't look suspicious because you were passed out," Jami said gesturing to the two boys beside her. Then it hit me why they look familiar. Before I could say anything Jami introduced them, "Maddi this is Fletcher," explained Jami as she pointed to the taller boy. "This is Othello," she said pointing to the shorter one. Then she bends over and whispers excitedly, "They're from the Summoner."

I look back towards both of the boys and I say, "Uh...hi. I'm Maddi." I look toward Jami. "So uh what happen? Where are the others?"

"Oh, right, funny story actually. Ok, so when I left our universe I was screaming and all that, then the sound stopped so I opened my eyes and I was in the middle of the stadium. I looked around and saw all these people staring at me with creatures standing next to me and I realised that I had landed in The Summoner. Tarquin moved forward and tried to insult me, long story short I won that fight and the fight with Zacharias, who is a real jerk by the way, more than in the books. Anyway then I thought of you guys and pulled out my phone, it's funny really, we get full reception in a universe where the phone has not been invented. Right, so I called Bec, and she is in Doctor Who in her Dalek bikini so now she owes me 20 bucks. Anyway she hasn't heard from Kat or Shania, but she thinks that they are fine and she said she was going to get in touch with them. Then I hung up cause I was getting chased by a Minotaur. Then you turned up unconscious and I had to trick them into letting us go cause they think we are dangerous. So I got Fletcher and Othello here to help me and we made it into the town, then here. We are at Othello's families place by the way, so be nice," Jami explains quickly, waving her hands all over the place as she spoke. "Oh and I forgot to mention that we are currently the most wanted and being hunted top this very second to be thrown in jail to await a trial that could have us killed," Jami added with a worried smile.  

"Well we have a small problem. I need to get changed to get rid of this awful smell but I didn't bring any extra clothes." I explained looking down at my uncomfortable sticky clothing.

"Why didn't you bring any clothes Maddi? Then what is in the bag you have?" asked Jami pointing to the bag that is sitting on the floor.

"Well how was I meant to know that we would get sucked from our universe into another universe where they don't wear the same clothes as us and where they would pour beer on me when I'm unconscious?" I stated. "My bag also contains sunnies, my wallet, my house keys and my phone and headphones. What else was I meant to of brought?"

"Um clothes! None of us knew how long we were going to be away for." explained Jami.

"Yea well I wasn't expecting us to be away for long. I mean, I didn't even feed my animals. I thought we were going to be back for the night." I argued back.

"You didn't feed your pets! Poor things!" said Jami.

"I know right, I feel like such a bad animal owner." I answered back.

"You should have brought them with you! I love you cats!" said Jami.

"Omg why didn't I. I could have put their little harnesses on." I say as I imagine the cats trying to walk around with a harness on.
