After Jami and I finished eating Briss brought us our new clothes out. I go into another room and I wash up quickly coming out wearing my new cloak over the shirt and pants. I hold my wet clothes in front of me and I say, "I will just put these back in my bag."
"No problem. Then we can start our training," says Othello.
We walk back to the room where our bags were and I put my beer smelling clothes into a plastic bag that I found in my bag. "Ok so where are we going to be training?" I ask.
"Yeah I want to learn to flip someone, it's gonna be awesome," Jami exclaimed.
"Ok well balance, that's the first thing that you need to work on and considering we don't have much time we won't work on it for long," Othello says.
"Well I have excellent balance, I trip over all the time, but I haven't hit the ground in years. I have magic tripping over but not really skills," Jami announced.
"Ok well it's best not to trip when you want to flip someone over," Fletcher stated.
"Duh, that would be silly if I did that. So can I learn to flip someone how or what?" Jami asked.
"Well, I could work with you on flipping while Fletcher works with Maddi on balance I guess," Othello stated.
"Cool, is that cool with you Maddi?" Jami asked turning to me.
"Yep, can't wait until I can flip Sammy though," I say excitedly.
"OMG! Yes that would be so cool, and hilarious," Jami said smiling.
"Ok Maddi you go over there so you can train with Fletcher on your balance and so Jami doesn't hit you," Othello says.
"Thanks Othello," I say as I walk over to the other side of the room with Fletcher following.
"Right so how we gonna do this? Are you going to show me how to do this the easy way or are you gonna flip me so I can learn the hard way?" Jami questioned Othello.
"Um, the first one I guess," Othello replied.
"Cool, show me the moves Master Othello," Jami said bowing to Othello.
Jami and Othello worked on the flip while Fletcher was teaching me the art of balance. For an hour they worked on it, but about half way through I walk over and start to learn the flip. Both Jami and I picked it up pretty fast, surprising both Fletcher and Othello with our skill.
"Jami that is perfect! How did you learn that so fast?" Fletcher said stunned.
"Well I have always had a talent for learning things like this pretty fast," Jami said shrugging.
"Let's see if you can flip on of us instead of each other then," Othello announced.
Jami walked over to Fletcher and I stood in front Othello ready to flip their opponents at the right moment. Both Jami and I look to our partner and nodded to say that we were ready, Fletcher spurred into action running at Jami, she grabbed his wrist quickly and used his weight and speed against him to send him flying over her shoulder and into the ground with a thud. I was cheering Jami on when she looked over and when I looked at Othello he was standing there with a stunned look.
"That was amazing Jami," Othello complimented as he looked over to where Fletcher was still on the ground breathless.
"Yeah...I...Ouch...Give," Fletcher groaned from the floor.
"Yes! I win! Your turn Maddi! You got this girl!" Jami cheered.
"Well here goes nothing," I say nervously. Othello looks at me and I nod. Othello runs towards me and I grab his wrist and by using his weight against him I end up sending Othello into the air and over my shoulder. After a few seconds it sinks in that I did it. "That was not as bad as I thought it would be," I say holding my hand out towards Othello giving him a hand up.
