Finding Juliet [VERY slow updates]

Act XII

After the ice shows, all of us will finally come back to our usual training. Although I really missed my home rink, I'm thankful for all the donations that I gathered throughout summer.

Ken had her bags taken by Mr. Kuriyama. They're preparing to go back to Higashi, while me.. I'm going back to Sendai to train for the new season. The rink's in pretty good condition now and I'm glad. Time to kick some butt.

"Hey, thanks a lot for helping me, Ken." I grinned.

"No problem." she replied, "I had fun. I actually never experienced this before."

"I'm glad," I laughed. "I never knew you were so popular? No offense but, I haven't seen you in competitions before? So how were you.."

"I use Juliet," she replied immediately. "Juliet Arisawa."

When she said her full name, it rang a bell. Juliet Arisawa? Suddenly, my eyes went big at the realization. "It can't be.. you're—"

"Yup, I was the junior world champion in women's division. I wore hair extensions to maintain my girly 'Juliet' image. That's probably why you didn't recognize me."

"But— how— why—" I stuttered between words, not believing what she was saying. I saw 'Juliet' skate once and was so mesmerized by her skating and artistry. I was literally having my jaw drop whenever she lands a jump, and I couldn't believe that the girl whom I thought was a guy, who challenged me in a quad battle and won, and the Juliet Arisawa are the same person. How did I not notice before? I—

"Hey, were you that surprised?" Ken asked, letting out a laugh. I can't see her the same way again. "Sorry but I thought you had the gist of it when coach Syoichiro called me Juliet. Oh well." she went inside the car which was opened by Mr. Kuriyama.

I was standing there, unable to process what's going on. "W-Wait," I spoke and tapped the window, which made her open it.

"We'll meet again, right?" I asked. "You're the first real girl friend that I had."

There was silence, and then I heard Mr. Kuriyama stiffling a laugh. I looked at Ken's reddened face, realizing what I just said. I myself felt my face heating up.

"I-I'm sorry, I meant girl friend!"

"Yeah, of course." The mushroom head replied. Actually, her hair has become long. I wonder why didn't she have a haircut then. "I'll meet you somewhere. It's a small world, hm?"

Ken smiled before closing the window. Right after that, Mr. Kuriyama started the car and moved. She'll be back in Higashi while I'm gonna train in Sendai. We didn't have any contact with each other. We only knew each other's home rinks.

But I believe what she said. We'll see each other somewhere.
