Autumn sat by the Great Lake skidding rocks in the water, crying every time the rocks hit the water.

Why was she so upset all of a sudden? She felt hatred for the Hufflepuff boy instead of the flutter of her heart that she used to feel. Whenever she looked at Cedric, it felt like she lost Cayden all over again, but why did that happen when they looked at each other?

Autumn was suddenly encased in a pair of arms and she hugged the figure back, not knowing who it was.

"It's okay, it's okay." The familiar voice of Harry Potter comforted. "What happened?"

Autumn shook her head as she whispered. "I don't feel like myself."

"What do you mean?" Harry asked as the two unraveled themselves from their hug.

"I used to feel so. . .happy around Cedric. Now I think I hate him."

"Maybe you've always hated him." Harry tried to help Autumn think, but Autumn shook her head.

"I don't know what's happening, Harry." Autumn rested her head on Harry's shoulder in a friendly manner.

Harry looked around, trying to think of something to cheer up his friend. Just then, he saw a small patch of flowers, a dull white bunch. Harry picked a few from the ground and handed them to her, hoping that she'll take them.

Autumn chuckled then sniffled and took the flowers. "God, you're such a loser." She stuck the flowers behind her ears in her hair.

"Do you want me to get Matt?" Harry asked.

Although Autumn wanted to say no, she nodded her head. Autumn widened her eyes at her response, but she couldn't take it back now.

Harry felt a bit offended, that this stranger of a date was going to make Autumn feel better than him, her friend for four years. But, he stood up anyway, leaving Autumn at the Great Lake.

Harry only had to walk for a little while, because Matt was jogging across the school, looking around.

"Hey, Harry? Have you seen Autumn?" He slowed down, still looking around the hallway.

"She's at the Great Lake." Harry said, a bit annoyed.

Matt looked at Harry thankfully then made his way down to the Lake.

Autumn sat at the lake, slightly more calm than before. She had steadied her breathing, and she wasn't crying anymore. She was still shaken from the incident, which left Autumn baffled. How can her views on a person change so quickly?

Loud footsteps interrupted her thoughts and Matt's voice rang through the air. "Was I that bad of a date that you ran away crying?"

Autumn let out an amused breath. "Yeah, because all of this is your fault." She said sarcastically.

Matt took a seat next to Autumn and fiddled with something in his pocket. "Now may not be the best time, but I really like you, Autumn."

"I like you, too." Autumn said, feeling her heart flutter to the boy.

"Do you want to go out with me?" Matt asked.

After a small pause, Autumn spoke.

"Eh."

"What?" Matt asked, shocked.

"I'm just kidding, of course I'll go out with you." Autumn laughed.

Matt laughed too, then shook his head. "You. . . You really had me there."

Autumn smiled and looked back at Matt, who was holding something out of Autumn.
