Her mind couldn't be torn away from Carlos and how she almost kissed him. She didn't even know that she had feelings for him. What would happen now?

And had she really called him "Lolo"? Who did she think she was? Someone close enough to give him a nickname?

Being in the girl's locker room was the only thing that prevented Scarlett to groan and cringe. She hadn't even told Jane what happened yet, and Jane was the first to know everything.

"Scarlett, you okay?" Jane asked, looking concerned for her quiet friend. "You're distracted about something that's not work. Work is all you think about."

How was Scarlett supposed to tell her closest friend that she actually might have a crush on someone who would never ever reciprocate her feelings?

Sighing, Scarlett leaned in to whisper in Jane's ear. "Carlos and I were wrestling and I think we almost kissed."

Jane gasped loudly, causing the locker room to go silent and watch the two girls.

"Jane, quiet," Scarlett hissed, glancing around. The other girls were leaning in to try and hear what Scarlett was going to whisper. "I don't want anybody but you knowing."

Jane covered her mouth with the palm of her hands, eyes wide open. It was shocking to hear that Scarlett of all people almost kissed someone.

"Come on, let's go out to watch the practice," Jane suggested, her voice muffled from her hands. Scarlett tightened her ponytail before following Jane out to their usual spot to watch practice.

Once the two girls were a distance away from the other cheerleaders, Jane began to hit Scarlett's arm repeatedly.

"Ow, ow! Jane, quit it," Scarlett exclaimed, hitting Jane back to defend herself. The two girls were being watched by Jay and Carlos, who were talking about the incident themselves.

"I don't know man," Carlos sighed, his eyes on Scarlett. "I felt like there was a connection. She even looked flustered afterwards. And she gave me a nickname."

"So, dude?" Jay asked, furrowing his eyebrows at his friend. "A nickname is a nickname."

"But why is it after we're about to kiss she gives me a nickname?" Carlos asked, feeling confused. He turned to look at Jay, who was watching Scarlett.

"Why don't we ask?" Jay suggested, a grin on his face. Carlos's worry grew as he yelped. "No, Jay don't —"

"Hey, Scarlett," Jay called, motioning for her to come over. Carlos gulped, worried about how this would turn out.
