Eye-opening experience...

"I need to get home." I stated absentmindedly.

"What?"

"I have to get to Galveston, NOW."

"Don't be foolish, we just got here."

"No William, you don't understand. My father had a stroke."

"Oh I'm sorry to hear that." He said but to my ears the sincerity wasn't entirely there.

"..." I went about my business of gathering my items.

"What are you doing?" William asked as I started looking for the first thing smoking to get me out of Florida.

"I just said I have to get home."

"Megan, wait a minute we just got here. I'm sure your mother can handle things a few more days."

"You can't be serious William." I stopped what I was doing to give him a confused look. "I just told you my father had a severe stroke and you are worried about this stupid trip."

"Let's just calm down for a moment, let me speak with the bishop. Maybe we can take the jet we came on back in a another day or two."

"I am not trying to hear anything else you have to say, either you are coming with me or you are staying here alone. Which one is it?"

"Megan you are not being reasonable here."

"Alone it is, would you kindly find out the address here so I can call a cab?"

"No I will not bother those folks with this mundane issue, you will wait. Nothing is going to change between now and the morning."

"Oh really, you really think so." After hitting the book a flight button on my cell phone, I turned on my locator and found the address myself.

Using the 'need a ride' app, there was a car now on the way to my location. Grabbing all of my belongings, I made my way to the front entrance of the house. With William trailing behind me trying to convince me to stay, he must have aroused the rest of the house. The Grayson's stood by looking confused at the scene before them.

"What is going on?"

"I apologize for disturbing you guys but Megan is insistant..."

"I have a family emergency." I cut in getting sick of hearing William's rambling.

"Oh, I do hope everything is alright." Bishop Grayson stated with a questioning brow raised. "William, will you be joining your wife?"

"No sir, we have agreed if things get worst then I will be on the first flight there."

"We pray you have a safe trip," Lady Louise almost looked happy I was leaving. Praying against any evil thoughts that I was just being paranoid. "We will be sure to take good care of William in your absence."

"I'm sure you will." I said with venom laced with the sweet words. From the look on her face, she detected them nicely.

"Oh where are my manners, should I call you a ride to the airport? Have you secured your flight?"

"No thank you Lady Louise, that won't be necessary. That should be my ride pulling up now."

"Let me help you to the car."

"No need William, I wouldn't want to put you out anymore than I currently am."

"Nonsense," William said tightly picking up my suitcase and ushering me out the door.
